Two years ago I dove head first into the blogging world. I knew very little about html, had no clue how to edit photos, or even how to set up a blog page. I just knew I wanted to learn how. I learned all of the above through trial and error mixed in with hours of frustration, hair pulling and head banging.
I just found lynda.com and I whispered at my monitor “Where have you been all my life?”. I now have an entire library of answers at my disposal that are updated frequently with current information. I also have access to lessons on just about any creative topic I can think of.
Now my mind is swirling with “What do I want to learn first?”.
Lynda.com offers tutorials on subjects like:
- 3D + animation
- audio
- business
- design
- developer
- home computing
- photography
- video
- web + interactive
I’ve thought quite a few times about taking a class at the local community college… maybe one on photography or photo editing. With two small children at home, scheduling is difficult and not very flexible. With lynda.com you can:
- Learn new software, creative, and business skills.
- Get on-demand access to our entire video tutorial library.
- Learn at your own pace, when and where you want.
- New courses added weekly at no additional cost.
So I’ve started my list. I think I am going to start with Adobe Photoshop with Learning Photoshop Elements and then move to learning my DSLR with Shooting with Nikon D5100. Between the two of these I should be busy for quite some time. There are so many aspects lynda.com covers with just those two items my head swims. I know that with the vast library of training videos that I can play, pause, rewind and re-play until I “get it” my projects will end up fabulous.
So what’s holding you back you from starting your blog, developing your app, or making your movie? Nothing can stop you, with the help of engaging, relevant, expert instruction from lynda.com. You can learn it.
