Nickelodeon and distributor Paramount Home Entertainment are preparing a new single-DVD collection of 8 episodes titled SpongeBob SquarePants – Heroes of Bikini Bottom. Available on June 14th, you’ll get 88 minutes of featured fun, plus Extras including Animated Shorts, and a Bonus Episode of Nickelodeon’s newest animated seriesT.U.F.F. Puppy.

Episode List:

“Back to the Past”
SpongeBob and Patrick travel back in time to see the young Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.

“The Bad Guy Club for Villains”
SpongeBob and Patrick watch Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy fight bad guys.

“Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful”
SpongeBob “helps” Squidward clean up the city of Bikini Bottom.

“A Pal for Gary”
SpongeBob brings Gary a pet that terrorizes him.

“Yours, Mine and Mine”
SpongeBob and Patrick buy a toy and have to learn how to share.

“Kracked Krabs”
SpongeBob goes with Mr. Krabs to the Cheapest Crab Convention.

“A Day Without Tears”
Squidward bets SpongeBob that he cannot go a day without crying.

“Summer Job”
Mrs. Puff has to work at the Krusty Krab during her summer break.

 

Kaytlin and Josh grew up watching Spongebob Squarepants. At first, I just couldn’t figure out what to make of this strange cartoon. The big yellow oblivious creature soon grew on me, though. When the announcer yelled “Are you READY kids?”, Kaytlin and Josh would come running to sing the intro with him.

Emma and Ethan were never exposed to Spongebob. We do not have cable, so they are restricted to PBS Kids and the occasional Nickelodeon DVD that makes its way to our doorstep. The silly humor is contagious though and you can easily get caught up in the crazy adventures while watching Spongebob, Patrick, Barnacle Boy and more.
