Smell the Joy of Christmas

I love the scents of Christmas. I remember when I was very small my grandmother and my mom both would purchase fresh cut trees for our holiday decorating. The smell permeated the house and it just felt like Christmas. To this day the smell of fresh cut trees brings back memories. Now that I am older I realize why they both eventually gave up “real” trees and purchased artificial, but I always missed the smell that came with the real thing.

ScentSicles sent me “fresh cut fir” and “cinnamon stick” to try out. One tube of 6 sticks will fragrance a regular sized family room for up to 30 days. Both scents are dead on. I love the cinnamon and could actually see myself using this “beyond” the Christmas tree and hiding it around my house. I tend to purchase candles and potpourri in cinnamon scent, so having something that lets the scent off that I don’t have to think about it pretty cool. I can also see myself putting the fresh-cut fir sticks on the inside branches of my artificial tree or maybe a wreath or garland.
