MY TAKE:
When it comes to “Mommy’s” electronic devices, I am pretty particular about how they are handled. I like to put my brand new item in a case before even turning it on. As far as the children handling them, I am like a hovering bird watching every move. Both the babies like to use the iPod Touch because of the cool apps available for toddlers. I am always so worried they are going to drop it out of excitement or just pure clumsiness.
When I heard about Otterbox’s Defender Series case I knew I had to have one for my sanity. I was amazed when it arrived. You basically get two layers of protection… the inside plastic “box” that covers everything but important ports… it even covers the screen (I hate scratches on my screens, they drive me bonkers!). The outer silicone case “clicks” in/onto the plastic box and has little flaps to tuck into the ports. Talk about protection… WOW!
When my older children told me about videos on YouTube of people dropping their Otterbox encased electronics I had to go check it out (omg! WHY would you DO THAT on PURPOSE? lol). I about had a heart attack seeing these kids drop their iPods and iPhones, but I now feel confident that my two toddlers can handle my iPod Touch safely. The people at Otterbox were ingenious when developing this case. At $29.95 it is a must have investment!
