It’s been 39 weeks on Nutrisystem for myself and 35 weeks for Kaytlin.
Kaytlin and I both had a milestone moment this past weekend. The family went to a local water park to cool off and have some fun.
In years past, Kaytlin says she would have quickly disrobed and planted her behind in the deep end of the kiddy pool to help me with the kids. She says she would have remained in this “hidden” position for most of the trip.
I, on the other hand, would have remarked that it wasn’t really all that hot and kept my swimsuit cover up on as long as possible while chasing Emma and Ethan around the kiddy area.
That is not what happened this year. Both Kaytlin and I calmly removed our cover up upon arriving and proceeded to follow, chase and play with Emma and Ethan fully exposed and not feeling overly self conscious of the fact that everyone can see us in our swim suits!
HOW LIBERATING is THAT?!?
We by no means are swim suit models, but we both felt comfortable enough to let go and enjoy the day instead of worrying about people seeing us in all our glory.
This event never would have happened without Nutrisystem’s help!
This past week has been on of the hottest in history around here with record or near record temps… which (I believe) has caused some serious swelling in my calves, ankles and feet. It seems like no matter how much water I drink, my body won’t let go of the water I already have on board.
I am still running with Kaytlin outside, but we head out around 8pm when temps lower to around 92-95. My mileage has increased to around 3 miles just in time for my first 5k next weekend!!!! I can’t wait to report how it went!

Yes, I said I gained 5 lbs. But you know what? I’ve decided that sometimes the scale lies! My clothes are fitting great, I’m feeling great (except for the water retention)…. so to the scale! lol
That puts me at 25.4 lbs in 39 weeks
