The Best Morning Health Routine To Follow Every Day

One of the best healthy lifestyle tips for anyone is to get into a good routine. When you have a routine to follow, you easily fall into the habit of making positive choices and doing things that benefit your health. While you should follow healthy habits throughout the day, a routine is easier to follow when it’s in the morning.

So, here is the best morning routine that will set you up for a healthy day. It’s very easy to do, shouldn’t take overly long, and you can easily fit it around your other morning tasks!

Drink water as soon as you wake up

Water is so good for you, and you need to drink a lot of it. Start your day with a glass or two of water as soon as you wake up. Why? Because you’re just gone 8 hours without any fluids, not to mention you’ve lost water from sweat. So, refuel your body with some water, and you will feel a lot more energetic and awake almost immediately. It’s also great for your digestive health as it helps move things along nicely.

Spend five minutes stretching

Stretching is highly beneficial for your health and wellbeing. It lengthens tight muscles and ensures you don’t suffer from constant pains. Get ready for the day by stretching for around 5-10 minutes, depending on how much time is available. This helps you get rid of any niggles from sleeping, and it also contributes to an all-round healthier body.

You could even do some light yoga to add more of a strengthening element alongside the stretching. Again, this helps your muscles and joints stay healthy. If you never stretch, you will always be really tight and sore, which can cause many muscle or joint conditions. Stretching as soon as you hop out of bed is recommended as your body is still warm.

Take some health supplements

Okay, this is quite a vague step, but that’s because it’s somewhat unique to the individual. I think the morning is a great time to get your supplements out of the way. There are a few supplements most people should probably take, two of which are vitamin D and vitamin B12. Many people are deficient in these two vitamins, both of which play key roles in regulating your energy levels. Vitamin D is also strongly linked to your immune system, and notoriously hard to get a lot of. I take these in spray form, but there are tablets or gummies you can take as well.

Basically, this step involves getting any supplements you need and taking them with your water. It’s a surefire way to ensure you don’t forget to take your essential vitamins every day. Plus, taking them in the morning gives them time to work throughout the day. So, you’ll see more benefits than if you took them late at night. I’d also suggest combining this step with the next part of your routine as well.

Eat a healthy breakfast

It’s never a good idea to skip breakfast. Any diet that tries to get you to skip it needs to be thrown in the bin! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for a reason. This is where you get most of your energy to fuel the morning’s activities. It’s also another chance to fill your body full of proper nutrients and vitamins. Get yourself into the habit of waking up and making breakfast before you go out. You will notice a dramatic difference in how alive you feel every day. Skipping breakfast just maks you lethargic, and you tend to compensate by eating and drinking sugary foods to get sharpy bursts of energy. Needless to say, these types of foods aren’t right for your health.

Instead, cook a healthy breakfast packed full of goodness. Porridge or muesli are both excellent ideas, but you could also make a smoothie bowl or have some cereal. Even a few slices of toast with peanut butter is better than nothing.

Wash your face & moisturize

This part of your routine is more to do with your skin health than anything else. Now, you can shower at this point, but some people prefer showering the night before. Either way, you definitely need to wash your face as it can get greasy overnight. This helps to unclog your pores and remove any sweat or dirt on your face. In turn, this keeps your skin healthy.

Next, you should moisturize with SPF. Have you ever wondered how to protect your skin all year long? Well, the secret lies with sunscreen! Use this as your daily moisturizer to breathe life into your skin and add a barrier of protection against UV rays. It prevents sun damage and can also get rid of wrinkles! After this, your skin will be healthy, and you’re ready to move on with the rest of your beauty routine.

Brush your teeth

The final part of your routine is all about your oral health. Don’t forget to brush your teeth as you need to remove food and bacteria from them. This should be done every evening and morning without fail.

Some of you might wonder why this comes at the end of the routine and not before you eat. Brushing your teeth and immediately eating is like cleaning your car when you know it’s about to rain. It’s pointless as the rain will just make the car dirty and eliminate your hard work. The same goes for the food you eat after brushing – it washes away the fluoride that protects your teeth and makes them dirty once more. So, go ahead and complete the rest of your morning routine after eating, then brush your teeth right at the end to ensure they remain protected for longer.

On the subject of dental care, you should make sure that you see a dentist twice a year for a dental checkup. That way, they can identify any potential problems and help you to adjust your daily dental hygiene routine if needed. Additionally, they can help to maintain the upkeep of your teeth. You can book an appointment to polish your teeth with Dentist in Turlock.

Make sure you choose a dentist you can trust and one that is also family-friendly so they can perform checkups on your children’s teeth as well.

That’s it, that’s your morning health routine! See, I told you it was easy to follow and can be done alongside your other morning tasks. For me, this routine is excellent as it teaches you to follow simple and effective habits. Day by day, you will make yourself much healthier.
