This new snack bar from Quaker is made with real fruits and nuts that you can eat on-the-go OR warm up in the microwave for a real bakery experience. This great breakfast snack can get you through until your next meal and comes in two delicious flavors:
• Cinnamon Pecan Bread
• Banana Nut Bread

These treats aren't just tasty, but are packed with:
• 140 calories
• 5g of Fiber
• 6g of Protein

We were sent a box of Banana Nut Bread and a box of Cinnamon Pecan Bread baked bars. I was unsure how the younger ones in the family would react to these bars because they generally grab a blueberry cereal bar and run.

The first bar they asked to try was (or course) the Cinnamon Pecan Bread. I say “of course” because they are drawn to anything that looks like it has frosting on it. I held my breath as they took a bite and exhaled when they squealed “MMMM!”. Success! My 3 and 5 year old like it!

The rest of the family had the same reaction to the these. I enjoy just about anything with cinnamon in it so these were an instant winner in my book. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about pecans, mainly because I haven’t eaten many in my life, but they didn’t overpower the bar and gave it a subtle nut taste.

The Banana Nut Bread bars look ultra yummy with all of the nuts scattered across the top. Both of the younger kids took a few bites and put the bars down. They didn’t say they were yucky, but it didn’t keep their attention. After I tried them I realized it was probably because they weren’t as sweet as the cinnamon bars, but they were yummy, too. I put mine in the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up and it reminded me of fresh baked banana bread… mmmmmm.

Both of these bars were moist, not too chewy and although they look small they took the edge off and didn’t leave me digging through the cabinets for more food.
