The itzbeen Pocket Nanny is an awesome little device that helps new mom’s remember how long it’s been since your baby was last changed, fed, and slept.  As a new mom, I have no memory and couldn’t tell you what happened 5 minutes ago. I’ve heard it called mommy brain. I am attributing it to hormones and sleep deprivation. The itzbeen Pocket Nanny has been keeping me on track.

What I like about it is you don’t have to live by the timer. I use the reminder alarm as a suggestion since sometimes my munchkin wants to eat before the alarm sounds. I only use an alarm for feeding, but I shut off the volume in the middle of the night. I have the Pocket Nanny set to go off every three hours but if the baby wants to sleep through the night, I will let her.

itzbeen has an extra reminder function that you can use for anything. Since I am a big advocate for reading as much as possible to little ones, I use the bonus button for reading time. I read ‘The Read-Aloud Handbook’ that basic links reading to your children to intelligence. I’m all for making my baby smarter!

The light up function is really helpful so I don’t kill myself walking around the house in the middle of the night. Another cool part of the itzbeen Pocket Nanny is the clip. I have been clipping it all over the place. I clip it to my clothes, my bags, the baby’s bouncer, and swing.

The itzbeen Pocket Nanny also helps when I have my mom watch the baby. It helps me see when the baby last ate, slept, and was changed when I get home. Now, I just have to figure out how to stop my mom from over feeding the baby when I am not around. I’ll let you know when I figure that out!

After visiting the website what I like the best is the button lock, the back clip and how easy it is to keep track of diapering and feeding. I learned it won 3 awards for innovation and that it comes in 3 colors! What a great idea!
