Infanttech Always In View Baby Monitor For Cars

Sample received for review. All opinions are my own.

Keeping an eye on your baby is hard to do when you’re in the vehicle and especially if your driving.

My youngest is rear facing and, of course, you can’t see him. I am constantly asking my older kids if he is sleeping or why he is so quiet. I have bought mirrors that clip to the seat that are suppose to allow you to see your baby, but I have yet to find one that will let me see him while I’m driving (at least safely).

So far no matter how much I spend on a mirror I still can’t see him.

In and out of the box
Infanttech has come up with a life saver for us parents called the Always In View Baby Monitor For Cars. There is no more twisting and turning to try and check up on your baby in the back. You can keep your eyes forward, and safely see exactly what your baby is doing.

I was sent the Giraffe Infattech Always In View Baby Monitor For Cars, and it is adorable. Once receiving it I had to charge both the plush camera and the monitor screen for 24hours prior to the first use.

Mounting the camera
I love the fact that this is a wireless setup, no wires dangling and getting caught up in little feet.

Set up is so simple, really can’t get much easier. Simply strap the arms of your plush camera around the headrest of the seat so that the camera in the nose is pointing at your baby. I had to mount the arms higher up as I have a tall baby who grabs everything. Placing the camera higher up on the headrest kept it out of his reach. I also tucked the giraffes feet up as well as my son would grab and pull on it knocking the camera angle out so I couldn’t see him, but it was a easy fix.

Once he is forward facing I will move the camera to the seat in front of him. Then having the camera in reach won’t be a issue at all as he won’t be able to reach the plush camera.

Monitor
Once the plush is secured on the seat, bend the neck of your animal until you can get a good clear angle of your baby. After I found that perfect spot, I then mounted the 3.5″  monitor screen to the windshield using the suction cup mounting bracket. There are 2 adjustment knobs on the mounting bracket to make sure you get exactly the angle you want. The monitor has a anti-glade screen so there is no worry about the sun wrecking your view of your baby.

Controls
To power on and off your camera there is a zipper on the bottom of your plush that opens up to the battery pack. Holding down on the power button for a few seconds will power it. The green light indicator lets you know it’s on. This is also where you would plug it in to recharge the camera.

When you turn off your vehicle the camera and screen will still stay on, so when you get out of your vehicle and the system is not in use you will want to turn both the monitor and camera off to save the battery life. Also on the side of the monitor is where you will find the plug in for the USB to recharge and the volume control for your monitor. Both the camera and monitor can be recharged in the vehicle or in the house using the 2-Port USB car charger, or the AC adapter along with one of the USB cables that are provided.

My main wish with this system is the camera and the monitor would use the same size USB cable. As of right now, I have to keep track of 2 cables. It would be amazing if I only had to keep track of one to charge either one.

3-amigos
I have seen and tried out a lot of different mirrors and have not had any luck with any. Thank you Infanttech for coming up with the the Always In View Baby Monitor For Cars. I no longer have to rely on my other kids to relay what my baby is doing in order for me to feel at peace that he is safe and happy back there.

I would recommend this item as a must have for you baby or baby to be. Head over to Infanttech.com and pick out of the 3 adorable plush animals: a Monkey, Giraffe, or Puppy.

This would make the best baby gift, or just because gift.

This is such a great idea! I love the print on the monkey! This would make me feel so much more secure knowing I can keep a safer eye on my baby without actually having to turn around all the time.

How handy and the Giraffe is adorable! I love that there are no wires either. I just wish there were baby monitors like this around when my kids were little because I can’t tell you how many times I had to pull my vehicle over when my kids were babies just to check on them. I’m going to consider getting to use with my grandson. Thanks.

40 years ago there was nothing like this. Of course there also were no cell phones or internet (dark ages for sure)
    This is a clever idea.
