How to Cook Buffalo Wings in an Air Fryer

I never thought I’d be able to make Buffalo Wings at home with this quality. I think that’s why I didn’t do it for a long time! I’m hooked, it’s so good, I’ve been doing it often, and in addition to being super easy, the cost is very low! The result is super soft, juicy meat, soft falling off the bone, with a divine sauce.

Well, anyone who has eaten a good portion of quality buffalo wings knows exactly what I’m talking about, and today I’ll teach you how to make buffalo chicken wings air fryer, so you can enjoy these wonders whenever you want!

For those who still don’t know, buffalo wings is the name given to the preparation of chicken wings, more precisely the middle of the wing, also known as tulip, fried in this way that I will teach and wrapped in a barbecue-style sauce, but different, and which is spicy, usually restaurants give you the option of the sauce’s spiciness level, from “not at all spicy” to “super spicy”, so it’s up to you, but do it, it’s divine!

Ingredients:

1/2 kg of chicken wing half

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon crushed or crushed garlic

Salt, paprika and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon wheat flour

Buffalo sauce:

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

4 tablespoons ketchup

3 tablespoons barbecue sauce

2 tablespoons white vinegar

1 tablespoon soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce

1 pinch of black pepper

1 pinch of cumin (optional)

Liquid or powdered pepper to taste, it can be cayenne, chipotle, whichever you prefer

Ideally, the chicken should be defrosted. Put the tulips in a plastic bag and inside it add the oil, garlic, salt, paprika, pepper and flour. Close the bag and shake well, mixing everything inside it and getting the chicken involved in all of it. Let rest for 30 minutes at least.

Preheat the air fryer and place the tulips neatly in the basket. Program the air fryer for 15 minutes at 200º, when this time is up, open the air fryer, turn each piece of chicken, close and program for another 15 minutes at 200º. It’s important that they stay golden but without roasting.

While the wings are ready, let’s prepare the sauce. Just put the butter in a pan over low heat, when it melts add all the other ingredients and turn off the heat. Mix well for a few minutes, until smooth and creamy. Cover the pan and set aside so that it does not get too cold, if it gets cold, just reheat it slightly when using it.

With the wings ready, separate a little of the sauce from the pan into a small pot, about 1/3, and then pour the wings into the pan, mix well, wrapping all the pieces in the sauce. Now all you have to do is serve it, accompanied by the sauce you reserved for those who want more, celery and carrot sticks, and you can also prepare a Blue Cheese sauce, which is perfect in combination and softens the spiciness in your mouth. I’ll teach you how to prepare lower.

Performance: Serves 4 people.

Storage: If left over, store in a glass or ceramic pot, well covered or closed in the fridge, and when consuming, just reheat a little in the air fryer.

Tips: You can also use other chicken cuts, such as the wing drumstick, or the whole wing.

Blue Cheese Sauce:

1 cup Gorgonzola or other blue cheese (creamy cheese works great too)

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons heavy cream

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon white vinegar

1 pinch of sugar

Salt and Black pepper to taste

Preparation: Just mix all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well, until it’s very creamy and homogeneous, if a few pieces of cheese remain, that’s okay. Serve together with the wings so you can eat them, it’s sooo good!
