K’nex Phoenix Fury Coaster Set
A few days before Christmas we received the K’nex Phoenix Fury Coaster set for review. With me being a theme park and rollercoaster enthusiast, as soon as it showed up on the front porch I had to put it together immediately.
I did not go with the design featured on the box but instead went with another suggestion that was in the instruction booklet. The supplemental design is called the Condor’s Curve Coaster and the instructions were on the K’nex website. I went with this design because it looked like the more realistic version.
Features :
- Over 20 ft of track
- 630+ pieces
- Coaster that expands over 3.5 ft in length
- You can create the Phoenix Fury Coaster or any of the alternative models
It took me about two hours to put the set together, but I don’t know if a nine year old could have put it together by themselves. I’ve put other K’nex roller coaster sets together and the pieces in those sets were a good size. This set that we received had smaller pieces than what I was used to dealing with, which wasn’t a big deal. The ride itself functions great except for the fact the car sometimes becomes stuck at the top of the lift which caused the motorized chain to break. Overall, I give the K’nex Phoenix Fury Coaster set two big thumbs up and am looking forward to putting together more K’nex rollercoaster sets in the future.
