Getting the Best Prices on Bundled Service Packages

Getting the Best Prices on Bundled Service Packages

When it comes to paying for cable, phone and Internet, most people agree that the costs can add up significantly in a very short period of time. Many pay well over $100 per month for these three services, simply because they aren’t taking the time to negotiate the price of their bundled package, which usually results in paying a lot more than is necessary. Saving is possible – you just need to take the right approach.

Getting the best prices on bundled broadband and Cable TV may take a bit of effort on your part, but these tips can help you to stay within your budget.

black-21166_640Scour Rate Changes

Depending upon the type of bundle you’re looking for, there’s a good chance that its rate could change from one week or month to another. Some of these shifts are dramatic, used as a marketing technique to draw in new customers. You can take advantage of these rate changes if you’re savvy about what the absolute lowest offering is likely to be on a package. It may even be helpful to speak to a customer service representative to see if the company has any upcoming deals that could be honored. Either way, never take the rate you see in an advertisement as being set in stone – these things can change quite frequently.

Don’t Pay for What You’re Not Going to Use

Not everyone realizes that bundled service packages are often loaded with features and extras that they might not ever use. The thing is, you’re actually paying for these – they’re not free. Cutting out the extra features that you know you won’t ever need can help to save you a great deal of money, especially when it comes to broadband. You can get packages that come with faster download and upload speeds, for example, but these are typically not necessary for the home user. Be sure to research each and every bundle that you have as an option in order to determine what you’re actually getting for the advertised price. Look for Coupons

Coupons are everywhere online. Whether you’re shopping for a new razor or a flannel shirt, you’ll no doubt find an applicable coupon if you search hard enough, and bundled service packages are no exception to the rule. Finding the right coupon will help you to save quite a bit of money on your bundle, especially if you’re lucky with your timing (online coupons can expire). Start a search with the name of the service provider and any branded name they might have for what they offer. For AT&T customers, for example, it’s always a good idea to check for AT&T UVerse coupon codes, while Verizon customers should include “FiOS” in their search. Always remember that coupons can pop up at any time, so if you don’t see one for the service package you’re looking for, check back in a week.

Saving money on a bundled service package is all about paying attention to what you’re actually getting and trying to hit the bottom-line of what you need. You can take your saved money and put it towards something fun for the family or maybe even put it towards home improvements – it’s going to add up quickly!

I try to tell this to my husband. He hates taking the time to save money. So I learned to do it and not let him know. I have found with some cable companies that you can save more with the phone, internet, and tv packages. I pay less for all three than the two I do use normally.
