As a mother, hearing stories of hungry children breaks my heart. That’s why when I heard about the #ChildHunger Twitter party I knew I had to participate.
What: More than one in five children, and more than one in four Latino children, in the U.S. may not know where their next meal is coming from. But there are ways that YOU can help!
Children who experience even intermittent struggles with hunger may suffer serious, long-term consequences to their health, well-being and educational achievement. The Motherhood is joining ConAgra Foods in their endeavor to increase awareness and encourage action for their Child Hunger Ends Here campaign.
You can make a difference! Now through August 28, look for the red pushpin and locate the code found on specially marked ConAgra Foods products and through June 16 look on specially marked P&G products. For each 8-digit code entered at www.ChildHungerEndsHere.com, ConAgra Foods or P&G will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal* to Feeding America. Together with P&G, ConAgra Foods has a goal of donating 7 million meals through the 2014 Child Hunger Ends Here campaign.
