In my 20 years of being a mom, I have had many product ideas that would make any moms lives a bit easier. Unfortunately I didn’t know the first thing about the process of taking an idea and turning it into a product. All I knew was that it took money… which I had none of.
Huggies® recognizes that there is a dynamic and talented community of moms who strive to make life as a parent easier and more enjoyable every day. Huggies wants to give moms a chance to channel their moments of ingenuity into products that help improve the lives of children and parents through the Huggies MomInspired™ grant program.
About the grant program:
Now in its third year, the Huggies MomInspired grant program will award up to twelve $15,000 grants to moms who want to launch a new, innovative baby or child care product that can ease parents’ messes and stresses. The grant program celebrates the natural creativity of moms, who solve real parenting challenges every day in innovative ways Huggies awards select moms with grant money to explore and grow their own unique baby or child care ideas. The grants provide resources and seed capital to help fund business startups and new product innovations inspired by motherhood.
Previous Huggies MomInspired grant recipients have developed products such as:
- Nausea relief band to ease pregnancy symptoms
- Magnetic baby clothing for easy diaper changes
- Sleep coaching
Moms can learn more and submit original, innovative and viable new business and product ideas now at HuggiesMomInspired.com from April 25 – July 31, 2012.
Grants will be announced and awarded in fall 2012.
That’s a very commendable project on the part of Huggies. It’s nice to see a big corporation supporting others.
Thanks for sharing about your product idea. Simply satisfied through knowing about this discussion as well. I hope this sharing would be helpful for moms. Keep it up.
This is one of those times my memory fails me big time. I KNOW I’ve had good ideas, but darned if I can think of a single one right now. SHuold walk around with a little notebook.
