4 Moms products caught my eye some time ago. All of their products are so modern looking and the technology that they put into each of their products leave my jaw dropping in aw. I was ecstatic to hear that I was going to get to try their Infant Tub.

One thing you don’t normally think of with a baby bathtub is batteries, but you need them with this tub. This tub has a built in digital thermometer that is color-coded to make sure you achieve the perfect temperature for your baby. Now there are other products out there that I have used to indicate when the temperature is too hot for baby, and I have found the water had to be almost cold before it would say that it wasn’t too hot. NOT this digital thermometer. This thermometer is so accurate that the comfort zone for baby is actually a comfortable warm temperature. The digits are constantly moving as your water temperature fluctuates. I can’t express how fast the thermometer reads… it is instant.

This tub is designed to have a constant water flow in the tub. You turn your water onto a comfortable temperature and have it flow down the channel in the tub that will allow the water to run over the temperature sensor. Make sure you have pushed the power button on the thermometer so it will indicate if it is a safe temperature for your baby. The colors include blue for too cold, green for the comfort zone and red for too hot. When it’s at green it is safe for you to place your baby into the tub. Be sure to still check the water with your hand for extra precautions.

As the water runs down the channel it fills up a clean water reservoir and overflows into the tub area. There is a side drain that allows the dirty water to drain out keeping your babies water clean. There is a plug right below the side drain to control the depth of water in the tub depending on the size of your baby.  I have enjoyed having the water reservoir. With our old tub I would try and wash him up right away before his water got too dirty to clean him with. Now I have clean water at all times for rinsing. The tub also comes with a rinsing cup that fits perfectly in the cup holders provided.

My son is 4 months old now and he LOVES his bath… he kicks and kicks in the tub so I have to bring the water level down using the plug or else he kicks water all over the place. The seat that he lays on is made of foam for comfort and for grip. It is great for keeping him from sliding all over the place.

There are 3 plugs altogether. One in the clean water reservoir, one on the side right below the side drain, and one on the bottom of the tub. I love these plugs so you don’t have to struggle while trying to empty the water out of the tub into the sink without spilling all over the floor and counters. The water drains within seconds. The plugs are not a airtight seal so if you don’t have water constantly running into the tub, the water will drain out of the tub.

I have tried bathing my baby without an infant tub and it’s hard holding onto a wet slippery baby in the sink that can’t sit up on their own yet. I have tried bathing my baby in the bath tub but that gets hard on my back as you have to lean over the tub to get to your baby.

The 4moms infant tub as been a life saver for me and my back. My only wish is that I would of had this right from day one. I love this tub so much that my son gets a bath every night now because it’s so easy to bathe him now and he loves being in there.

I love the digital temp. I too have used other thermometer type things for the bath and they just never seem accurate.
