Back to School with Fruit of the Loom | Underwear for Overachievers
Disclosure: Our Fruit of the Loom shopping trip was sponsored by Fruit of the Loom.
What is on your Back to School shopping list? Our includes the obvious items like crayons, markers, folders, etc. It also includes items like shoes, shorts, jeans and tops. This year I was reminded that our kids new a fresh start from head to toe from Fruit of the Loom. Their Underwear for Overachievers campaign helps us as parents remember it’s time to give our kids confidence to let their true colors shine.
I do a lot of my clothing shopping for Back to School online. I can get the best prices and selection without dragging the kids out to crowded stores. I’ve found that they are usually picked over and somehow my kids are always in the popular size and that will be the only one completely sold out. I’m happier this way and so are they.
Underwear and socks are usually a different situation. These can be easily picked up while shopping for other things like school supplies (something I also like to do alone to avoid frustration from both of us). This year I found the Fruit of the Loom Bonus Packs at our local Wal-Mart. I love the “freebie” in these packages… it helps stretch our BTS dollars just a tad bit more.
I didn’t realize how badly the crew needed new undergarments until I cleaned out their drawers. Although the drawer was pretty full, Emma still had 4T socks in there and she had recently been complaining that her old underwear was cutting into her hips. When I emptied Ethan’s drawers I found some 18/24 month socks and old briefs in 4T that would fit him like hip huggers now if he tried to wear them. I didn’t realize how behind I was in replacing them!
I was able to pick up enough socks and underwear for both Emma & Ethan to keep them for over a week before they would squawk about being out. I also picked up some socks for me and underwear and undershirts for Dad. We all needed a fresh start this fall!
How do you handle Back to School shopping? When is the last time you refreshed the Underwear for YOUR Overachievers?
