A few weeks ago I brought you along to La-Z-Boy for my sectional shopping trip. I mentioned how up until that point, my stereotypical image of any La-Z-Boy product was an overstuffed rocker recliner that is usually “Daddy’s chair”.

Here is another room I could totally bring into my house as shown. I would never normally say “Hey, let’s paint the walls yellow!”, but this works on so many levels! The textured fabric adds dimension to the room but yet a traditional solid color that would work in a variety of settings including a more traditional setting. Again they used the striped chairs for accents which go perfectly. I am more of a Stationary Sofa kind of girl. I am loving the new choices coming out this summer: Here is nice mix of leather and fabric, something I had never thought of doing before. The toile (very feminine) in a chaise against the leather (masculine) arm chair… a perfect match for a his and hers reading nook. I wish my bedroom were large enough for these pieces! Using chairs as an accent can be fun and functional. Some of the new chairs include: I love how easy it is with La-Z-Boy pieces to combine traditional pieces with more contemporary ones. Here is a nice intermingling of leather and fabric, solids and plaids. It’s not ultra masculine and with a few subtle feminine touches on the walls and side tables it would make a great living area. The plushness of the sofa is inviting… I would love to curl up in the corner and read a book, wouldn’t you? My husbands recliner kicked the bucket. It was a second generation {as in his father owned it before him} recliner from La-Z-Boy and we loved it to pieces… literally. I would love to use the gc to update my den furniture. I have three wonderful children ages 10, 13 and 21 who have helped to wear out our current sectional sofa and ottoman. The sofa is torn in several places and been repaired multiple times due to children jumping over the sides and back onto the couch and various other ruff housing antics. Our ottoman has seen better days as well. It is now lopsided and the wheels fall out if you move it! LOL! So many memories of family movie nights and friends sleeping over; everyone piled up on the sofa laughing, playing and enjoying time together! None the less the sofa and ottoman are in dire need of replacement.

I need a new couch. I would purchase the Woodrow Sofa for sure, probably in the Triumph fabric. We purchased the one we’re using almost 30 years ago. We have boards under the cushions because it’s sagging. But, Lazyboy has high quality furniture. Our recliners are also Lazyboy.
