My sister-in-law and I were having a conversation about baby carriers/wraps and discussing our favorites. We both agreed on a particular wrap, but the inconvenience of hauling around yards of fabric made it difficult to bring and put on during trips to the store etc. We both agreed there had to be a better option out there… and so I began the hunt. I had less than 2 months before my nephew would arrive and I was on a mission.

The Baby K’Tan arrived quickly (we choose eggplant) and we excitedly took it out to inspect it. The cotton was super soft, the color was perfect (not too purple) and the design was intriguing! I wondered how it folded so neatly inside the bag… so again I explored deeper.
After unrolling everything out I found that the sash has a built in pocket that everything rolls back up into. It was very simple to do and I figured it out first try. I could see quickly pulling this out during a quick trip to the local mart and easily tossing it back into the diaper bag.

The Baby K’Tan is a fabulous piece of equipment that is a must have for parents of newborns through toddlers. I have fallen in love with this carrier along time ago since a friend of mine has one, they have launched the newer breeze carriers now though that are awesome for hot weather since it has mesh/jersey type style fabric so it is more breathable and can let the breeze hit the baby a little easier. Also the fit is so much easier to determine. Plus there is no tieing or struggle with putting it on since it’s a simple slip over slip baby in go basically.

I have been wanting a Baby K’Tan ever since I got pregnant with my second baby! The first time around I never found a comfy newborn carrier — and while I loved the Ergo once my daughter was large enough to feel secure in it, I didn’t find it as cozy for everyday puttering around the house and garden the way I think the Baby K’Tan would be. I keep entering to win it in various giveaways but so far no luck. I’m due in May so I hope this is the one!

I am a first time mother with a severely Colicky newborn who also suffers from Milk Protein allergies. When my little Zoe began displaying her first signs of colic I really didn’t know what to do. I read everything on colic and all the articles and research I have found all talk about the five S’s (Swaddle, Sway, side positioning, sucking and shushing) to help with the discomfort of colic. So far each of these have proven to work except the Swaddling, I can’t swaddle to save my life. My DH on the other hand seems to be an expert. But, because he works excessive hours just to allow me to stay at home with our daughter I can’t expect his morning swaddling to last throughout the day. I did stumble on the fact that my little one finds comfort most when she is laying on my chest. Since I am unable to hold her for long periods of time I began to use the infantino carrier I have to keep her close, I don’t really like keeping her in the carrier because she does not have good head and neck strength. I began to do more research on carriers that provide the comfort needed to soothe my little one along with the neck and head support required for my daily movements. The Baby K’Tan has so far rated number one not only in both comfort and support but also in price. I still think it’s expensive but after seeing the price for the ergo I will say it is not that bad. I have never seen the Baby K’Tan, only what I have viewed online, I hope it is what everyone says it is because at this point it seems the colic is stealing my precious moments with my little Zoe.

I learned that it is fairly easy to nurse your baby while wearing the k’tan. Just a minor shift here and there and bam – baby’s getting fed without having to take him/her out and remove the carrier altogether! Love it!
