I love being a “kitty mommy”, but to be honest… having two big kitties can make a big stinky mess that needs to be cleaned up at least a couple times a day in a traditional litter box. I just don’t have the time (or the memory) to do this and my nose would remind me often.
The Litter-Robot™ frees you from the chore of litter box scooping. This automated litter box will leave you confident that your cats have a litter box that is cleaned reliably, again and again. The kitty does his “business” and leaves the unit. Seven minutes later the Litter Robot tumbles and “scoops” the litter for you. The cat’s excrement is dropped into a large drawer underneath that will hold several days worth of waste. This means you can leave for the weekend, or even up to a week depending on the number of cats you have, without worrying about your cat’s litter box.
Cleaning the litter box is as simple as changing a kitchen garbage bag every few days. For our household with two big kitties I change it about every 5 days. You’ll never again have to scoop a dirty litter box by hand again!
We received a Litter Robot II Bubble. Because of the size of my kitties, we agreed that we would need the extra room the bubble gives. The clear ‘Skylight/Bubble’ type window mounted in the globe expands front to back depth by 3 inches and adds natural light to the litter chamber.
So What’s in the Box?

(1) Lip Extender (Comes Assembled to Globe)

(1) 12VDC Power Supply
(1) Return and Repack Instructions

Setup was a breeze and I had the Litter Robot ready for use in a matter of minutes. I followed the suggestions to acclimate my kitties to the box by leaving their old box nearby, but not cleaning it. This encourages them to use the clean box instead of the dirty. After several days of this I began to realize that they needed more of a push.
I contacted the helpful staff at Litter Robot for some more suggestions and we decided it would be best to remove their old box and unplug the robot so as not to spook them. I occasionally would go back downstairs to plug it in and let it rotate/clean itself and then unplug it for next time. After a couple of days of this process they began to use the box without hesitation!
I then ran into a snag. Because of the multiple plugging in and unplugging of the base, the unit stopped working. I sadly contacted the company and explained what was going on. Without hesitation they mailed a replacement base (seriously, I had it in a day and a half!) with return packing instructions. All I had to do to return it was pack up the broken base, email the company at the address on the note enclosed and put the box outside on the designated day. FedEx came the next day and took it away! I have to say… that was the easiest warranty replacement I’ve ever experienced!
My new base is functioning perfectly, my kitties are using the box, I don’t smell offending odors anymore, it uses any clumping litter (no special purchases), cleaning is as easy as changing a trash bag and everyone is happy!
