Scholastic Books for All Ages

scholastic-logo

I have fond memories of book order time in elementary school. The Scholastic readers and book club were the highlight of my month… seriously! Ok, maybe it was when the book order was delivered… that was even better. My teachers would always let us sit for a good 20-30 minutes to sift through our new books and enjoy. Scholastic books offer quality, age appropriate, durable, and inviting reading material for children of all ages. I learned how to read with Scholastic books!

Scholastic sent Ethan a gift basket geared for children ages 0-3. This is full of board books for chubby little hands and mischievous little guys that like to rip paper books. I adore these type of books for him, even at 3 1/2. I can let him have them in bed after we’ve read them and he will flip through while getting drowsy. I love to listen to him on the baby monitor “read” the book as he remembers it. He tells the story from the pictures… a pre-reading skill! He still doesn’t know his own strength and will occasionally rip a paper page. Cardboard books take the worry from letting him read these on his own.

Little One’s First Library– Ages 0-3
A new parent’s dream! They can start their baby’s library with books from the Little Scholastic line, Clifford the Big Red Dog by Norman Bridwell, I SPY and other great board books.

Emma received the gift basket geared for ages 4-7. These include hardback and paperback books. One of Emma’s (new) favorite books “It’s Christmas David”. Ethan adores the book, too. It tells a cute little story with very few words about how David’s life is full of “no”s. Then on Christmas he gets a YES! Emma enjoys books with a few more words and a little more storyline. These books are perfect for her.

Seasonal Treasures – Ages 4-7
Kids and parents get a great reason to cuddle and read 12 beautiful holiday stories with the best books for the holiday season.  This basket includes seasonal favorites like: It’s Christmas, David by David Shannon, Oh, What a Christmas by Michael Garland and Can You See What I See?Toyland Express by Walter Wick, just to name a few!

I didn’t need any convincing… I adore Scholastic Books. I love their selection… the topics, the characters, types of binding. Best of all, I love the pricing. I can always find a book in my price range that my children will latch onto and read over and over again.

WIN IT!

ONE lucky OurKidsMom reader is going to win their choice of basket (ages 0-3 or ages 4-7)!

I think it’s also really funny that three of the bestsellers featured on the front page are books that my own Bebe Boy James has (he has ALL of the Wimpy Kid books, almost all of the Rick Riordan books, and we’re currently reading Hunger Games as our read-together!)

Ooh! They have eBooks now (my Bebe Boy James keeps asking me to find eBooks for him!) – so now when he comes home, we’re going virtual shopping!
