Tonka FLIP The Bounce Back Racer RC Car

Ethan loves cars, trucks… anything with wheels. The only thing that would make a car better in his eyes is if it moves on its own. Now there is that option for little guys. Meet FLIP The Bounce Back Racer.

This FLIP THE BOUNCE BACK RACER remote control vehicle drives on both sides for double the speed-racing action! Drive your race car with the included controller as fast as it will go. Then, when you’re ready, flip the car to the other side. Now it’s a stunt truck and you can race it some more! Car comes with controller and instructions.

The car and remote are a nice chunky style for little hands. As this remote car is rated for ages 3+, that is a plus. The remote has two buttons, one for forward and one for reverse. Being as Ethan is only 3, this is more than adequate. I can see an older child getting frustrated, though. By they time they are 4-5ish their fine motor/eye hand coordination are much better and they can handle maneuvering in all directions.

What makes FLIP so much fun is that when you change direction, he changes colors and looks like a whole new vehicle. There is also a channel selection for the remote with two settings. This would allow two children to race (or play with) their cars in the same area. My main concern with the remote is that it has a fairly short range (maybe 15 feet) so the kids have to chase FLIP if they want him to travel in one direction very far. Is that a major issue with a 3 year old? Nope… Ethan wants to chase the car anyways. Chase it and giggle as it plows into the wall, the couch, the coffee table, the closet door…

My overall opinion of FLIP is a good one. I got past the fact that I needed 6 AA batteries for the car and 2 AA for the remote (doesn’t that seem like a lot?) when I saw Ethan smiling. It is a fine basic beginner’s remote control car. It seems durable, has the fun factor of flipping over when moving it back and forth and the kids can run it into the walls without causing damage. By the time Ethan is bored with only going forwards and backwards we’ll think of upgrading him to a bigger boy remote control car.

For one i heard if you sign into it through FB & if you win you will be contacted at the email that is associated with your FB & if i sign in that way I would loose the giveaway since its a email i hardly ever log into because i always have to do forgot password & if i do it to much they lock my account up.

Also If you log into the form with name/email i have noticed for fb,twitter etc entries it dont automatically show your connected to them,so to make sure you have to click to complete it which when you do that you have to wait until a little box pops up with takes a minute or so.

Another thing is i knew i done some of the entries down to adding your button,but after adding my comment here for your button entry it showed i had only done the blog post entry so i had to go doing them again. Expect that I could find out by asking them, but that would take too long for this. Did learn that you can order replacement parts for various toys and games from them, which I had not realized.
On another point, I like some parts of the new Rafflecopter form, but not that there is no place to put in an alias if that is what a person prefers to use for public comments. So, if I happened to win from this comment, you would have to check the email!!
