Malt-o-Meal Bag the Box with NEW Blueberry Spooners Review [CLOSED Giveaway]

by Heather on September 8, 2011

I found Malt-o-Meal cereals years ago when I started comparison shopping out of necessity. Usually located at the very end of the cereal aisle, Malt-o-Meal cereal had been passed by for years. The day I found them I was eager (and hopeful) that they tasted as good as the “name brand”. I was pleased with the taste and the price. Years later their price and taste bring us back for more.

IMG_3679

I was contacted by Malt-o-Meal and asked if I would try their new Blueberry Spooners cereal. I have always enjoyed their Frosted Mini Spooners so I eagerly said yes!

The children were literally jumping up and down when I opened the box. I usually do not purchase “sugar” cereal (basically anything beyond those little round O’s) so the cereal binge began. I’m not kidding you when I say I heard moans of delight from the kitchen table that night. They ate breakfast cereal for dinner and loved every bite full.

My job was to taste test the Blueberry Mini Spooners. They were very similar to the frosted variety and had the same texture when I bit into one. The blueberry was not overwhelming and they were enjoyable to eat. I asked the kids to take a few bites and the family concurred that Blueberry Mini Spooners are now on the approved cereal list for our family.

Did you notice Malt-o-Meal cereals are packaged only in a bag?

Not only are they trying to save money (for them and us) on packaging, it is leaving a much smaller footprint on the environment, too!

bag-the-box Cereal boxes are pointless. Breakdown boxes and build a brighter world with Malt-O-Meal cereal in bags.
