If you’ve been reading OurKidsMom for a while now, you know that Ethan loves dolls as much as Emma does. When the Ariel water toys arrived they both were beside themselves with excitement. It was an overcast day and a visit to the pool just didn’t seem to be in the cards, so we had a “pool day” in the house.
Ethan was designated tester for the Ariel and Sisters water toys as Emma had already laid claim to the Ariel swimming doll. Ethan didn’t seem to mind (love the pre school mentality that more is better LOL). He had a blast making them swim, jump and even take a ride on a toy boat they play with in the tub.
Emma found that if you twist the shell on Ariel’s stomach enough her fin will move and she can swim (a little). That function never grew tiresome for her and Ariel burned several hundred calories that morning I’m sure!
I liked the ruggedness of the Ariel and Sisters dolls. Ethan found that if you tug on their tails they come off. I was a little worried, but found they pop right back on. The swimming Ariel has beautiful curly hair that Emma resisted to brush because she wanted it to stay pretty. There are no removable parts on her (yeah! nothing to lose!) and although she doesn’t “swim” much or very fast, they both love to play with her.
If you have Ariel fans, these are a must for their Christmas list! These are perfect for poolside or in the bathtub.

I really like their mini princesses with the silicon outfits. They are really nice for my girls to use (they do rip but you can get a princess with a bunch of outfits). They also are a really nice size for 3-5 year olds.
