Ingredients
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup corn syrup or honey
  • ⅔ Peanut Butter
  • ½ cup melted butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • ½ cup coconut
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup wheat germ
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350º
  2. Grease 13"x9" pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, peanut butter, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla; blend well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press mixture evenly in prepared pan. Bake at 350º for 15-20min or until light golden brown. Cool completely, cut into bars.
  3. Mixing everything together
  4. Now I have altered it sometimes. My husband isn't a fan of coconut so I can leave that out. I LOVE chocolate so I might let some extra chocolate chips spill into the bowl. I have added toffee bits into it. I guess it's how "healthy" you wish to keep it.
  5. Pressing into the pan
  6. Once firmly pressed into your pan (I use a spatula to press it down) before I put it into the oven I like to add chocolate chips to the top, in my opinion you can never have too much chocolate.
  7. Adding Chocolate Chips
  8. Bake for 15-20min until turns golden brown and let cool completely, then cut into your squares and enjoy! These do contain nuts so unfortunately can't be sent to school with my son and probably most schools, but great for a after school snack.
