SimpliSafe Wireless Home Security System RV $479 [CLOSED GIVEAWAY]

It’s Open Season for Burglars—Get Prepared with a SimpliSafe Wireless Home Security System

SimpliSafe Home Security“cheaper and doesn’t require hardwiring like traditional services do. You’ll be alerted by phone, text message, or email if a door or window is opened” hails Good Housekeeping Magazine

handsThe summer months are approaching us fast and this is the time you want to protect your home.  July and August are the months with the highest reported burglaries of the year, so I’ve found the perfect solution to help you get prepared for the summer time crime wave. One reader will win a free SimpliSafe home security system and one month of 24/7 alarm monitoring—this is a $500 value!

Enter to win this wireless, DIY, home security system that is really simple to use.  The best part about this system is that it’s self installed.  Don’t worry, it’s so easy to install a monkey can do it!  All of the components come with 3M adhesive strips so it’s “stick-n-play.”  Check out the alarm system reviews from Elle Decor, CNN Money, and Good Housekeeping Magazine.

Monitoring is an option, so you can choose to have 24/7 police protection or just use it as an audible alarm to scare the pants off of burglars—it’s entirely up to you.  If you do choose to get it monitored, this company offers a rocking value—you get 24/7 alarm monitoring, police dispatch and the cellular link for just $14.99/month.  Even better, there’s no contract…I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough of 2 year service contracts that I can’t get out of.  I like the flexibility that this company offers.  Other alarm companies require both a contract and charge $30-50 bucks a month for alarm monitoring.  But again, there is no obligation to get monitoring…you can at least get peace of mind of knowing that an ear-piercing alarm will sound if anyone tries to mess with you and your loved ones by breaking into your home.

Another thing that I like about this system, it’s actually attractive, so it’s not an eyesore like a lot of alarm systems out there. You can even paint the alarm components to match your decor.

Here’s a quick overview of the SimpliSafe security system:

100% Wireless: All of the SimpliSafe components are completely wireless.  Wired security systems are outdated—even the telephone in your home is probably a cordless!  All of the sensors are equipped with lithium batteries that can last up to 5 years, so you won’t deal with the headache of replacing batteries all the time.

No Contracts & Affordable 24/7 Alarm Monitoring:  If you choose to get 24/7 Live alarm monitoring with police dispatch, you don’t have to sign a contract.  And it’s just $14.99/month (that’s cheaper than some Netflix subscriptions).

SMS/Text Alerts: You can choose to get a plan that will send you SMS text alerts whenever the system is armed or disarmed (so you know when the kids or hubby are home and safe).  It’ll also alert you if the system is triggered.  This plan costs an extra $5/month.

No strangers in your home, DIY install: All of SimpliSafe sensors come equipped with strong 3M Adhesive Strips so you don’t have to drill holes in your walls.  It’s literally easier and takes less time than baking a cake.

Visit SimpliSafe Home Security for more information on their wireless alarms.

  26. Erin Rok says

I like that it features a panic alarm setting, automatically triggers an alarm in the event of an emergency.

  27. Erin Rok says

I like that the system is easy to uninstall…they usually aren’t

  47. Thanks everyone for the comments! This is such a great system, and I’m not saying it because I work for SimpliSafe. It’s really easy to use, no phone lines, no wires, and DIY. It’s really the best option to go with. Here’s another good thing too: IT’S PORTABLE! If you ever move, you take your alarm system with you!

  48. Robin Quick says

I like the giveaway tools because its faster but it has flaws. Like I accidentally put this giveaway in as an entry for another giveaway that I meant to put on another giveaways form and there is no way for me to change or delete it.

  49. D Schmidt says

Visited their site and learned that they say: For 100 years the alarm security industry has been selling out-dated technology at highway-robbery prices. A common practice has been to scare customers into signing long-term contracts that are chock-a-block with fine print and provisos.

  50. Tanaya Syx says

No phone line is needed, which is good because we don’t have one!

  51. I like how it is all wireless, and that there is no contract

  52. Jeanna says

  60. Candice Hull says

I love that it’s a cellular based alarm because most people I know now don’t have home phone lines. I also love that there is no contract. As a SAHM whose husband works long late hours, a simple home security system would be awesome! Thank you!

  61. Candice Hull says

Though I think Rafflecopter is easier, I do think this form is better because you know that people can’t do false entries. You also know that you are following someone on twitter/facebook/etc because you can’t continue unless it works.
    Thanks!

  62. Lyn says

I really liked this safety feature

    Duress PIN
A special code programmed by you. If an intruder forces you to disarm your system, use this PIN and we’ll know you are under duress and send the police.

  63. Lyn says

I think I like this system better than Rafflecopter, but there must have been a glitch just a little while ago. Wouldn’t let me enter re: no cookies or java, which I have. After 3 attempts it did fine. The only thing that is kind of pain is the e-mail subscription and having to sign up again, even if you have it.

  65. Angela J says

This would be great to have

The only security is me beating the crap out of anyone who comes in uninvited with my cane.I’m 6′ but I think this system would protect me better than the one I have now.lol! Thanks for the giveaway!

  67. Eileen says

I like this system because it can be self installed (saving big bucks) AND it has been recommended by Good Housekeeping! Thanks much!

  68. Eileen says

For me Rafflecopter is easier. I can see though how bloggers would like the Giveaway tools more. For some reason, I always forget the multiple daily tweets on this one though…as is is harder to see when you come back to it. Does that make sense?

  69. Wanda McHenry says

I like that the Police sent straight to your door—No Contract—No Phoneline needed

  70. Wanda McHenry says

I like Rafflecopter much better, it’s faster and easier

no contract is needed – please bring back rafflecopter

  85. Ellen B says

I don’t like this entry program at all – I haven’t been entering here for a few months. Today i am back but don’t like that i have to click the button to tweet – in the past I just copy and paste and then paste the link into rafflecopter. I guess I will see if I will be back to your blog – I don’t think the entry program.

  105. I like that its a It’s “plug & play”: all your sensors arrive pre-programmed, batteries installed and adhesive strips ready-mounted, so set-up just takes minutes. No tools required—just peel and stick.

  106. Trasina McGahey says

I read the reviews and i’m surprised on how many good comments have been made by very well known media sources!

  107. Trasina McGahey says

  109. Karen says

Geaway tools seems to load faster than rafflecopter.

  112. I like that it uses a cell system rather than a regular phone line.

Cellular allows the alarm to communicate more quickly with our monitoring center—and it means you don’t need to have a phone line. We include it free of charge. 126. Amanda Alvarado says

I like how I don’t have to copy and paste a tweet URl in the Giveaway Tools. I don’t like how I have to click on the feedburner to enter my entry and the way the following on twitter is set up. I’ve seen it on other sites where the twitter box is used and it automatically checks and blanks out the box if you are already following.

  127. What I like about SimpliSafe is that it’s easy to self-install, easy to purchase direct from us online, and doesn’t require a contract or a telephone line. It’s also wireless, cellular, and customizable…which means it works anywhere and will fit any house, apartment or business.

  128. I think both are pretty good tools. I am more familiar with RaffleCopter as I have seen it used more, but once I used the Giveaway Tool it was just as easy. I like that the Giveaway Tools entries number seems more realistic with the numbers not being so high, and it also seems like it would be more secure for the person holding the giveaway as it confirms the action has been completed before you can submit the entry.

  129. Carrie Conley says

    No Contract….easy to install

I do have one small issue. The floating banner you have tends to freeze up the pages and slows things down.

  150. debra b says

I love that it works off a cellular system, and that I can feel a little better leaving my kids at home (ages 12 and 13) for a few hours with this.

  165. Katherine Short says

I prefer the new tool for Twitter entries, of course. I prefer Rafflecopter because it gives me more information on the stats of the giveaway. it doesn’t really make any difference, I know, but I’m a stats person, and that’s why I enjoy sweeps. If I had to pick one over the other, I’d stick with Rafflecopter. Maybe they can figure out the Twitter thing sometime…

  166. Dee says

    its all wireless!

  167. s riches says

I like them both. If I had to choose it would be rafflecoptor only because I have used it more.

  183. I like that it is DIY installation

  184. Wendy says

I like that it uses 3M command strips to attach to the wall so no wall damage.

  185. Wendy says

Rafflecopter or Giveaway Tools, doesn’t really matter to me. I have, though, caught an issue with Giveaway Tools – the entry for ‘like’the post on facebook will count as done even if that silly ‘confirm’ message comes up. And there is no way to go back to the entry and confirm it.

I love this alot better then the Rafflcopter! So easy!!

  196. Beth ann says

I love that you don’t need a phone line for it. We don’t have one, so it would be inconvenient to have to make that purchase. 🙂

  197. Beth ann says

Personally, I like this tool better than rafflecopter.

With the other sweepstakes giveaway tool, you have to copy over your tweet, and do a lot more work. I’d much rather have this quick “one click” tool.

It’s just much easier to enter giveaways one handed. 🙂 What momma DOESNT love that???
