I am an admitted smartphone junkie. I’ve only had one for about three months, but now I wonder how I functioned beforehand. I now have the freedom to “cut the cord” (leave the computer) and still be able to check in on my email for a minute, see if anything important popped up on Facebook, check for DMs on Twitter and anything else that pops into my mind while still being able to go to the park with the kids, or anywhere for that matter.
I was given the opportunity to try the new Samsung Focus Flash.
With a Windows Phone, navigating the holidays has never been easier. The only phone with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn built in, Windows Phones are a perfect fit for the holidays, making it easy to connect and share with the people who matter, whether you’re organizing holiday travel, picking out gifts or just saying happy holidays – no app required. Plus, with features like Local Scout, you can find your favorite shopping hot spots nearby – wherever you are.
I love that this phone has a small footprint, but yet has everything I need inside. It fits great in the palm of my hand and slips easily into my pocket. The main menu includes a shortcut to everything I might need with my top four in a prominent position. Even with a smaller frame, this Focus Flash features a 3.7” display so there’s no need to squint or put your “readers” on to find what you need.
I use my smartphone for more than just staying in touch. I use it as an all purpose electronic device. Many times I am out with the kids and have forgotten my “main” camera. The Samsung Focus Flash has an onboard 5 MP autofocus camera with a LED flash. Now I can stay in the moment, not run to the diaper bag and dig for a camera, but still have a quality photo (5 MP is pretty darned good for a cell phone). I just reach into my pocket, turn it and say tell them to “say cheese!”. If I want to take a photo with all of us together, that’s easy as punch, too. Fortunately this phone also has a VGA front-facing camera as well.
There are many other things about this smart little phone that make it a winner. It has a 7 hours/25 day battery life, you can move around the net fairly quick with a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and it uses the 4G network.
Right now you can get a Samsung Focus Flash at AT&T for only .99 with a 2 year contract!
