|Real Kids Shades (RKS), the leading innovator in the design and manufacture of children’s sunglasses, offers a complete line of sunshades that offer total UV protection – and that kids love to wear. After all, a great pair of sunglasses won’t do much good if a child won’t wear them. Importantly, RKS offers style and protection at affordable prices, so parents don’t have to compromise their children’s eyesight – or their budget|
MY Take: Emma and Ethan are your typical 3 and 2 year old… you give them a pair of sunglasses and within a few minutes *snap!* they are broken. I’ve watched them put their glasses on. I am convinced that most of the time they don’t intend to overextend the glasses… they are merely putting them on and they stretch them to (over) accommodate their face. So when Real Kids Shades contacted me to review a product I was thrilled! Why? Because they have a flex line of sunglasses that give in all directions. What’s great about these?
- Rubberized frames, so kids can’t snap them in two. Bendable is good.
- Small but important differences: Sleek boy shapes and bigger, Jackie-O style girl shapes.
- Every pair comes with a removable neoprene strap.
- Geared for ages 3 to 7
I was amazed at the give these glasses had when I played with them. The entire frame is rubberized. So, with confidence I handed them to Emma and Ethan to put on by themselves.
My First Shades geared for birth to age 5. Racer Style available from age 5 through 12 Glide for ages 5 through 12 and MORE!!!
My final thoughts? I wish I had found these glasses sooner! They are a smidgen more than I usually pay for the kids glasses, but if they don’t break in 15 minutes… I won’t have to purchase 10 pair a year, right? I’m pretty sure Emma and Ethan agree, too!
You can purchase a pair of the Flex for $14.99 at Real Kids Shades.
