Started by Holly Bartman as a way to provide children with personalized super hero capes, PowerCapes has become the #1 destination for authentic super hero wear for kids (and adults, too!)
We have our own manufacturing facility in the Metro Detroit area where our production staff makes each product completely by hand one-at-a-time for children around the world.
MY TAKE: We have a cape that my 13 year old son received years ago at his cousin’s birthday party. This has been passed down to my almost 4 year old Emma and Ethan, who just turned 2. You can only imagine the fights when the cape is brought out, because they both have to wear it right now! So when Power Capes agreed to let us review a personalized superhero cape I was more than eager to fix our problem. Because the cape we currently have is detailed after “The Incredibles”, I figured that was masculine enough for Ethan. I chose a pink cape, with a princess crown emblem and the letter E for Emma… The design is simple but powerful. The princess crown is adorned with glitter and jewels. The emblem and initial are prominent, but not overbearing. It is made of a single layer of satin type material, edges surged and velcro on the neck. The cape seems to be just the right size for Emma, too. This will grow with her for several years down the road. Power Capes have capes for everyone… from simple kids capes, to superhero capes to the personalized superhero cape they sent Emma.
BUY IT: Personalized Superhero Capes are on sale for $24.99… regular price is $39.99. Superhero Capes (an emblem w/out the initial) are on sale for $19.99… regular price is $29.99. Kids Capes (solid color capes) are on sale for $16.99… regular price is $24.99.
