Let me introduce you to the O-Cedar® ProMist® Mop, the wet or dry floor cleaning system that organizational expert Peter Walsh says changes the game on clean.
Devoted to making your life easier, O-Cedar is extremely proud of the thorough, deep clean each ProMist provides. The ProMist is the ONLY brand to offer two types of microfiber pads: a durable pad that can be washed up to 100 times and a disposable pad that can be washed or tossed. My husband is the “floor guy” in our house. He is detail oriented and I love the job he does cleaning our hard wood floors. His current cleaning routine he was using a “mop” with microfiber pads and squirting the floor with cleaner with his “free” hand.
The ProMist arrived and I immediately noticed how lightweight it was. I couldn’t believe something so light would hold up well. I asked my husband to put his old mop aside and try the ProMist for me. He gave me a raised eyebrow, but agreed.
I didn’t hear any mumbling while he cleaned the floors… good sign. When he was finished I asked how he liked it. He mentioned immediately he was happy about the pads. The pads on the ProMist attach much easier than our current (now old) mop… just press and it is on.
We both like the fact that you can choose your cleaner and reuse the bottle. We had thought about using “other mops” on the market that have a bottle of cleaner attached. Our main complaint, and why we never bought one, was that we had to use their cleaner. The bottles were not re-fillable or reusable. The ProMist has an easily detachable bottle that you can fill with your choice of cleaner, whether it be store bought… homemade… or just plain water.
Using the mop took a little getting used to. He mentioned that the mist didn’t squirt out as far as he had thought it would, but with a little adjustment on how he held the mop and it was working well. The handle was a super light trigger and the mop responded well.
Overall… we give the O-Cedar ProMist two thumbs up! I am looking into purchasing another reusable pad so that we always have one clean.

I learned that O-Cedar’s cleaning tips from the 1930’s are still good today. For example: Lemon rinds can remove tough marks from dishwater.

I follow you GFC Rebecca, and found this tip for gum removal. Either butter or the white of an egg will take out chewing gum from hair. The white of an egg will also prove effective in removing gum from other places.

One of the main ingredients in the polish was cedar leaf oil, so the founder of the company named the product “O-Cedar Polish”. I really like that the ProMist has reuseable pads. The one-use pads on the competitor’s mop really drive me crazy and are SO EXPENSIVE. O-Ceder’s version is much more economical and environmentally friendly.
