When Joshua was little, he was constantly whining about clothing textures and irritations. Our only answer was to remove the tags and tell him to live with it. Twelve years later… it’s happened again. Now Ethan is my sensitive skinned baby and he is also very texture sensitive and cannot handle tags in his clothes. So when I heard about HALO and their new ComfortLuxe Sleepwear I knew I had to try them.
Comfortluxe fabric breathes better than cotton and helps promote healthier skin. It works by regulating body temperature and wicking moisture away from the skin where it evaporates quickly (twice as fast as cotton). Little ones stay cooler when it’s warm and warmer when it’s cool.
Comfortluxe has also been awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the National Eczema Association. Wearing Comfortluxe can help soothe eczema and sensitive skin by reducing the itch/scratch cycle that can lead to flare-ups, irritation and discomfort.
The first thing I noticed when I pulled them from the bag was they were “silky”. For some reason I was expecting soft and lush material. They seemed to be sized adequately and they were accented with a cute little dinosaur on the chest. I approved, but would Ethan?
I showed Ethan the pajamas and he instantly wanted to try them on. He liked that they were “bue” (his word for blue) and there was a dinosaur on them. Ethan typically wears a snug 2T or a little looser 3T in pajamas. I ordered the ComfortLuxe in size 4T so he could wear them for a while. I instantly noticed that the bands for the ankles and wrists were snug. I had to stretch them out myself before he could get his chubby ankles and wrists through. The bands seem to relax though and Ethan didn’t complain, rub or even seem to noticed. The rest of the fit seemed correct for a 4T. He should have a little growing room before they get too snug.
Ethan’s room is one of the furthest from the furnace and air conditioning unit (and it’s over the garage that gets opened and closed all day long), so we have heating and cooling issues in his room. I am an over protective mom and tend to worry about the temperature and his comfort. I love that the ComfortLuxe wicks moisture away to keep him at the right temperature throughout the night.
Ethan has worn his jammies several nights now without any issues. It’s refreshing to not have “tag fights” with a two year old and be able to snuggle and know he isn’t going to be itchy, uncomfortable, cold or hot. Thank you HALO.
