Babycakes Cupcake Maker & Cookbook
I love baking (and decorating) cakes and cupcakes. I’ve recently found the joy of mini cupcakes. They are portion controlled and having a second one won’t throw your diet off track near as much as having a second slice of cake. Sometimes, though, I would love to not heat up the entire house to make a batch. That is where the Babycakes cupcake maker comes in.
With the original Babycakes cupcake maker, you’ll enjoy the delights of the corner bakery in your own kitchen. Bake 8 cupcakes in about 5 minutes. The non-stick coating and and easy-to-fill cooking reservoirs make baking cupcakes, pies, tartlets and appetizers fun and easy. The Babycakes cupcake maker comes complete with all the accessories you need to bake and decorate a variety of cupcakes and other tasty treats. The manual includes recipes, hints and suggestions that will be sure to delight friends and family. The cupcake maker features 1400 watts of cooking power, power and ready lights, convenient cord wrap, latching handle and more. Bake with or without paper baking cups.
Unpacking the Babycakes Cupcake Maker reminded me of the “hot pocket” maker I used to have. We used that sandwich maker for years for quick, easy and warm lunches. Babycakes has come up with an easy (and quick) method of whipping up mini cupcakes and muffins.
I was excited to try the cupcake maker right then. I spent several minutes sifting through the Babycakes Cookbook and found a recipe that fit the bill. I had a bunch of overly ripe bananas that I needed to use so I decided to give the banana muffin recipe a go.
The cupcake maker warmed up quickly while I made the batter. When I was ready to bake the light was green. I opened the machine, dropped in a cupcake paper and measured about the batter. With a simple closing of the lid the muffins started baking.
Each batch baked quickly and evenly. By the time I had the kitchen cleaned up all the batter was gone. I let everything cool down for a few minutes and I drizzled the icing over the top. I seriously blinked a few times and half the muffins were gone! The entire crew gave two thumbs up to the banana muffin recipe and the Babycakes Cupcake Maker.
I enjoyed everything about the cupcake maker (and cookbook!). It’s compact, heats up quickly, bakes evenly and the muffins were delicious! I made a batch later of the spice cupcakes for my daughter to take to work and they were a huge hit as well. I am now in decision mode… I’d love to try the crust former and make mini pies.
