White Water Water Park with KaPau Plummet!

There is always something to look forward to at the 13 acre White Water water park and a trip to Branson, MO without visiting it just wouldn’t be complete. They have a brand new two dueling 245-foot slides. The new ride for this year, KaPau Plummet, opened in May 2014 and launches riders from a drop-floor into a 70-degree plunge.

Are you daring enough to take the plunge? Unfortunately, I wasn’t but there were tons of people who were.

We had chosen the perfect day to go because it was overcast and not overly hot but warm enough that we weren’t cold when we came out of the water. Since it was my first time visiting White Water, I don’t know if it’s because it was overcast or what, but the lines weren’t outrageously long where we had to wait a very long time to go on the slides and other things.

White Water also features 200 gallons of other fun rides and attractions for the entire family. We started off by heading over to the Coconut Grove. There I was able to watch my granddaughter enjoy the slide and just play in the water. I actually watched her so that the kids could go on some of the other rides as the 7 story freefall slides and the speed slides of the Kalani Towers.

I did get to enjoy a relaxing inner tube ride down the 800-foot Aloha River. We also got to enjoy the high tides of the 500,000-gallon wave pool for a few minutes.

We did however forget to bring Aubrey’s float and they do not allow you to hold your child on your lap on the inner tube. They do supply you with a life vest for the little ones for free, however, she was afraid of the waves when they were on so off we went to another part.

They do have Cabana’s available for you for an extra charge fully equipped with lockers, loungers, ceiling fans and a television set. Also throughout the White Water water park and also Silver Dollar City, you will find nursing stations available. My daughter in law found that very comforting instead of being out in the open trying to feed my new grandson.

We were hoping to stay for the new “dive in” movies which was showing “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” that evening, but we had so much fun throughout the day that everyone was pretty exhausted. They show a different movie every Friday night on the big screen above the wave pool throughout the summer and is included in your admission ticket. On Saturday nights there are also fireworks.

There are many food stops along the way for you to enjoy a hot or cold treat if you so choose. Since White Water is owned by Silver Dollar City, you can purchase a multi day pass to get you into both and even a triple day pass to also enjoy the Showboat Branson Belle.

My in-laws love Branson. I have never really had the desire to visit there. But if there’s a water park, I might be convinced. 🙂

The tall slides look like a ton of fun, we get a annual pass to our local water park and we go as much as we can in the summer, we practically live there in the warmer months, great place for the kids.
