Zak! Designs carries a full line of children’s plates, bowls, cups… you name it. But, when your children are ready to “move up” to “grown up” dinnerware and you aren’t ready for them to use your good table setting… Zak! has the answer. You can find the perfect place setting and instead of sacrificing style for function, safety and durability you can get something fashionable, functional with splash of color and a touch of fun. The best part? Zak! Designs has made a full line of “green” products that you can feel good about purchasing and using.
As a global company, Zak Designs has always maintained a strong commitment to the Earth and
the environment. That commitment was elevated to a new level with the introduction of Confetti
– a line of dinnerware, dining accessories and kitchen prep products made with recycled
Zak took advantage of the patent-pending process used to manufacture the recycled products and
created a splattering of color that gives the line its name. Confetti was designed as a collection of
products that consumers could use as accent pieces when they want to create a festive
tablesetting or simply add a splash of color to their existing dinnerware.
Being Environmentally Friendly Never Looked So Fun
I was in the market for a place setting that was appropriate for as young as the age of 2 1/2, but not childish, flimsy or just plain old ugly. I found some Zak! Designs confetti pieces at a local store (they only carried the mixing bowls though) and made a mental note to check out their site when I got home. After browsing their site I was very pleased with the large selection of products… they had something for just about any taste.
When Zak! Designs agreed to a review, I scoured their site for hours. They have a nice variety to choose from, including seasonal place settings. I decided on the confetti set for a couple of reasons. I liked that it was constructed of recycled material (“green”), and I liked that the confetti added a small splash of fun.
I am enjoying the plates and bowls, but I am enjoying the space in my cupboards even more. I really like the use of color splashed into the plates and bowls… it helps with accenting with cups etc. The place setting goes with almost anything, including other items Zak! Designs sells.
The plates and bowls nestle together nicely and do not overcrowd the storage space like my other place setting does. The bowls are in the middle as far as size range goes, which helps control my teenager’s serving size (he tends to over pour his cereal). I do wish that the bowls did not have “lips” on them. It makes me feel like I am eating a bowl of cereal out of a mixing bowl. It’s really a personal preference and I am getting over it. I also wish that they were microwave safe. I have had to remind the family a couple of times that they cannot use them to re-heat or cook anything in the microwave. Other than those two issues, I love my Zak! Designs Confetti plates and bowls!
