Weekly Weigh In Week 3 : 11/26 Thanksgiving Week #NSNation

Wow, three weeks have gone by so quickly for me! I am starting to get into the groove with the Nutrisystem plan now which means I’m developing new habits, right? (oh PLEASE say yes! lol). This week caused a little stress for me when thinking ahead to it. Thanksgiving at my in-laws house means lots and lots of yummy food. I have over 22 years of memories of going hungry and leaving so full of food I couldn’t think straight. This year was a little different already, though. I have been vegetarian for about a month and a half. It’s funny, but the longer I’ve not eaten meat the more unappetizing it looks. So that just left the rest of the spread to worry about.

Our frozen food from the Select Plan arrived this week. I haven’t tried much because of two main reasons. 1) There is not a set vegetarian program (yet) so I am getting the basic program that includes meals with meat (yeah for my older son, right?). There are a few breakfast choices, no lunch choices and a few dinner options. Desserts look good. I had an ice cream sandwich so far, but ice cream usually doesn’t settle well with me so I am a bit scared to try theirs. 2) I am so set into a routine now that when I realize I have a frozen choice in the freezer I am about half way through my meal. I am going to make a conscious effort this weekend to try more of the Select Foods that are available for me and let you know how they taste.

So, did any of you take the Holiday Survival Tips to heart that I posted last week? I know I did and I am so proud of myself! I decided to bring my food with me and instead of eating myself silly… I took in the atmosphere of having my family around me and enjoyed their company. I had my lunch bar and salad (two of them) and two apples while I was there (6 hours). I forgot to bring a protein source to go with my lunch so I decided it was okay to take two tiny bites of stuffing and green bean casserole to offset the calories (right?;O). Heck, I even served a Bake Me a Wish Cake to the family and didn’t even lick my fingers!

So, here we are again. You are saying “Okay okay, enough already! How did you do?”. First, let me say that if I hadn’t been sick for a day and a half this week I probably wouldn’t have done this well. But…. I DID DO THIS WELL! tee hee hee. Okay, I’m a happy girl… drum roll please………………………………………… I am down 4 lbs this week making this a total loss of 12.5 lbs in three weeks! I made it to my 10 lb goal, YIPPEE! I get a Nutribear! I can’t wait!!!!

Oh, wait… you’re asking what a Nutribear is… right?

The Nutribears program is a fun and motivational incentive program that rewards you for the weight you’ve lost on Nutrisystem. It’s a great way to add even more motivation to your weight loss journey, and help you continue your success. For each weight loss milestone you reach throughout your weight loss journey, you …will receive an adorable Nutribear as a reward for your weight loss achievements.

As silly as it seems… I want my Nutribears :O). Hey, maybe I’ll race #10 and see if I can earn #20 before he arrives!
