Weekly Weigh In Weeks 11 and 7 : 1/21/11 #NSNation

New NS Logoweeklyweighin

It’s been 11 weeks on Nutrisystem for myself and 7 weeks for Kaytlin.

Where do I start? I’ll be honest… both Kaytlin and myself felt like there was not going to be a loss for either of us this week. It’s not that we were “bad”… we just weren’t feeling it.

It’s been a busy week for me… planning the big giveaway on the blog for this weekend. I have been too relaxed with not writing down my foods (not to self: start writing down my food again!) and at the end of the day I just couldn’t remember if I had eaten my daily requirements or not.

I can say that I was impressed with myself the other night. We had a pretty decent snow fall and Kaytlin and my husband headed out to shovel the snow before it got too deep to shovel. I decided to pick up a shovel myself and help out a bit. I haven’t done this for several years and according to my memory, shoveling was a difficult chore for me. I was outside the entire time, helping the entire time! I felt energized and strong! I actually had a good time doing it, too! I went outside the next day to help Joshua shovel (again) the remainder of snow that fell. He pooped out before I did *big grin*.

I have also had to cut back a little on my food intake. When you are needing to lose 100 pounds or more you get a little extra to eat each day. I’m not sure if I should say sadly, or happily… I had to cut back on my intake this week! The extra fruit was not a big deal, but I am missing my carbs. I’m sure I will adjust and move on.

I have also played around a little with eating my dinner meal at lunch and visa versa. Nutrisystem has some yummy dinner choices…

My two all time favorite shelf stable foods are the Italian Herb pizza (I top mine with fresh veggies and cook it for 10 minutes to get it crispy) and the Vegetable Lasagna with Basil Tomato Sauce.

There are only two vegetarian dinners in the fresh/frozen select plan (I am promised that is only a “for now” fact). Regardless… I find them both amazing! I can’t wait to be able to customize my fresh/frozen order so I can order several of them!

They are the Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Shells and the Ravioli Formaggio.

So… eating all of this fabulous food.. am I losing weight?

I am proud to say that I lost

1.6 lbs this week!

That puts me at 23 lbs in 11 weeks!

Kaytlin has been super busy at work and hasn’t had the opportunity to eat everything on our lists on a daily basis. She mentioned she was worried because she wasn’t following the plan to a T. She hasn’t cheated… but we both have been trying to eat what we are supposed to eat when we are supposed to eat it.

The plan works… but it’s based on the glycemic index. That means they are trying to keep our blood sugar levels even. No highs and no lows. That helps you burn your calories more efficiently, keep you more satisfied and lose weight!

Regardless of the fact that she didn’t follow the plan to a T… it is working for her!

So, drum roll please………………….

She lost 2.6 lbs this week!

That makes a total of 22 lbs in seven weeks!

I am finally okay with the fact that she may indeed pass me up with her weight loss. I want this so badly for her and I am so proud of her accomplishments!

Week & –/+ Total Loss
week 1: – 8.8 lbs 8.8 lbs
week 2: – 2.2 lbs 11.0 lbs
week 3: – 2 lbs 13 lbs
week 4: – 2 lbs 15 lbs
week 5: – 1.4 lbs 16.4 lbs
week 6: -3 lbs 19.4 lbs

Another great week for the OurKidsMom Family Plan team!

I’m so stinking happy for her… for US!

There is a plan for everyone!
