Many of us are in full shopping mode because Back to School season is here!
What are some of the things you do to prepare your children to head back to school?
I generally shop for school supplies, clothes, shoes and then of course hair cuts. There are many families that cannot afford to do all of this… it can get expensive especially with multiple kids!
Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and Disney have partnered to launch the Tools for Back to School initiative. This initiative features a pop-quiz style game, where supplies are donated to BGCA for every correct answer you score. It’s easy, only takes a few minutes and you can help several children start school on the right foot.
Speaking of starting on the right foot… Boys and Girls Club of America also has a few tips sheets to help start your year on the right foot as well. The Time Management sheet is especially helpful in our house as we’ve incorporated a few tips into our lives such as establishing a routine and creating a family calendar. These are a great point of reference to help the school year be the best it can be.
While we are talking about Back to School shopping… are you doing some of your Back to School shopping at JcPenny?
BGCA has also partnered with jcpenney. Throughout August you can join jcp cares by rounding up your purchase at the register to benefit BGCA. Every penny helps!
These are just a few ways that we can give just a little to help out a lot. Starting out on the right foot can make a world of difference in a child’s school year.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America is such a great organization that helps children out so much! I am glad that I learned that I can round up my purchases at JC Penney and it will be given to Boys and Girls Clubs of America! What a generous thing that JC Penney is doing!
