THIS IS WHERE I LEAVE YOU

Warner Bros. Pictures

In theaters September 19, 2014

TIWILY-1SHT

When their father passes away, four grown siblings, bruised and banged up by their respective adult lives, are forced to return to their childhood home and live under the same roof together for a week, along with their over-sharing mother and an assortment of spouses, exes and might-have-beens. Confronting their history and the frayed states of their relationships among the people who know and love them best, they ultimately reconnect in hysterical and emotionally affecting ways amid the chaos, humor, heartache and redemption that only families can provide—driving us insane even as they remind us of our truest, and often best, selves.

This Is Where I Leave You stars Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Adam Driver, Rose Byrne, Corey Stoll, Kathryn Hahn, Connie Britton, Timothy Olyphant, Dax Shepard and Jane Fonda

Based on the novel “This Is Where I Leave You” by Jonathan Tropper

You have to watch this trailer… it had me laughing our loud (literally).

The first time I saw one of the ads for this movie on TV, I knew I had to see it. With that cast and such a great premise, you can’t go wrong!

  4. Can’t wait to see this. What a cast!

Awesome sneak peek. The possibilities of getting together with the entire family and living under the same roof together for a week in my family are slim, but I could only imagine the events that would take place, looks like a great movie.

This looks like a more intellectual movie, I am sure it will be fun to watch for others.

This movie sounds so good and, since the book is usually better, I can’t wait to read the book. Hubby and I had an unexpected extended stay with my parents when my mom broke her foot and my dad was getting his new business up and running. It was an unforgettable experience. My mom and I are very different. While I crave alone time, she likes to have someone around always. While I shy away from the spotlight, she loves being the center of attention.

Hubby hasn’t seen his family for a long time in person but they video-chat regularly. Our daughter always knows when he’s talking to them b/c she can hear the arguing on both sides. We stayed with my in laws for about 3 weeks after hubby and I got married and I distinctly remember the discussions. Everyone was raising their voice to be heard b/c everyone was talking at the same time.
