It goes without saying that drinking infused water is going to keep you hydrated, which is incredibly important. As many of us go from day to day being dehydrated without realizing, it’s a great way to make sure you’re getting your recommended daily allowance of water without having to drink boring tap water. Infused with all of the natural ingredients you like, you’ll certainly feel more like drinking water than you would normally.

Keeping your body hydrated boasts many benefits – it gives you more energy, which is perfect if you’re trying to keep fit; it helps to lubricate your joints, which will reduce the risk of joint strain; it counteracts the dehydrating properties of drinks like alcohol and coffee, and medications and exercise; it helps your body to regulate its temperature; it creates smoother and softer skin, helping you to look younger; it puts less strain on your organs and it helps you to transport oxygen and nutrients around your body more efficiently.

Don’t Opt for the Manufactured Alternatives

You may also wonder why you can’t just drink those vitamin waters that you find in the grocery stores instead. But these contain artificial additives and coloring to make them taste better, so they don’t even compare to the healthiness of fruit infused drinks, even if the marketing of these drinks says they’re healthy!

The same can also be said of the water flavoring packets that you might see in stores too. Yes, they’ll help to make your water taste better but these also contain sugar, coloring and other additives that aren’t good for you. Sport drinks, energy drinks and soda are other popular drinks, especially when you’re on the go, but these are even worse for you than vitamin water and powdered alternatives.

If you are keen to give your health a kick start and you want to start drinking water that’s infused with fruit, you need to take control of this yourself. This helps you to make sure that all of the ingredients you are adding are natural so you can take peace of mind that you know exactly what you’re consuming. It’s also great for you to get creative with these types of drinks, experimenting with the ingredients that you’re putting in them. And, there’s no added calories in these either – it’s a win/win situation.

I do not like the waters in the store. They taste awful with additives in the water. I make my own flavored infused water. I like the orange lemon and lime ideas!

I was really hoping to learn something new to help me get more water but I think my answer is to literally suck it up and like more water. I have never been a good drinker and now I have health issues, that are genetic, it is just worse. I think the best thing for me to get more hydrated is ginger tea. It not only aids digestion but helps my water intake.
