As Seen on TV | Air Curler Review

Air Curler

Michaela, my pre-teen daughter, has recently been wanting to occasionally curl her hair in the morning before school. However, it takes much too long for her to blow dry her hair and then curl it. So, when we got the opportunity to review the Air Curler, I was excited about her possibly getting ready faster in the morning! The Air Curler dries and curls at the same time eliminating a step.

The first day it came in the mail, Michaela was at school so I figured I’d give it a try myself. It is advertised for shoulder-length hair, so I wasn’t sure how well it would work for me. Here is my “before”…

…and here is my “after”. I was very pleasantly surprised with how it turned out! It gave my hair a little “oomph” of wave and body that lasted all day.

A few days later we tried it on Michaela’s hair. It took awhile to achieve the look, because she has very thick, shoulder-length hair and it always takes a long time for it to dry. We were both pleased with how it turned out.

As you can see, you can adjust the angle of the air flow to get the curl direction desired.

I listed my pros & cons below for easy comparison:

Pros:

  • Dries and curls hair at the same time
  • Nice, natural, tangle free curls/waves
  • Creates curls within seconds
  • Won’t burn hair
  • Healthy way to curl hair
  • Will fit most hair dryers
  • Easy to assemble

Cons:

  • Gets hot to the touch which makes it difficult to adjust air flow
  • Bulky to store
  • Doesn’t attach to all hair dryers

Overall, I really like the Air Curler and I recommend it. Check it out for yourself at www.aircurler.com

  1. Thanks for the review. I really don’t get how this works, is there something you have to wrap your hair around? It looks like the pros our weigh the cons on this one. I like how your hair came out and I have the same hair cut. I will look more into this.

      Hi Trish,
To answer your question, your hair doesn’t wrap around anything. You just put your hair into the bowl and turn on your blow-dryer. The air from the dryer twists and dries your hair into the curls. With shorter hair, it’s a little more difficult to get the hair into the bowl, but it does work. 🙂

Great to point out the pros and cons. I think all of the pros outweigh the cons. I always wondered if this product actually worked.

I like the hair curler because it looks easy to use and it really does give nice curls that make the hair look fuller. I think I would like to get this product to try out and see if I can get some curls!

I saw this on TV and figured it wass just another product that was worthless. Your hair turned out really cute! I guess it does work! Thanks for the review.

That’s so neat! I like that it creates curls so fast. I have super straight hair, so I could really benefit from this!

  6. Sarah L says

Interesting concept. I keep my hair short since I swim 3 times a week so I wouldn’t use it.
