Rice Krispie Easter Bunny Treats

It’s spring break here and with Easter around the corner our snack ideas have turned to bunnies and carrots.

We decided to but a fun Easter twist on the typical Rice Krispie Treat and turn them into bunnies!

You will need:

6 cup Rice Krispies Cereal
3 tbsp Butter
10.5 oz Marshmallows
1/8 cup Pink Candy Melting Chips
(optional) White Candy Melting Chips

DIRECTIONS
Grease a jelly roll pan.
In a medium to large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until cereal is well coated.

Allow to set about 4 minutes.
Butter a your hands and press mixture into prepared pan.
Allow to set before cutting into bunny shapes.
Once cut, you can optionally dip the fronts of the bunnies in white or dark chocolate prior to decorating. Allow to set.
Place pink chips in the corner of a zippered sandwich bag.
Melt candy my microwaving for 45 seconds and kneading until melted and smooth.
Clip small corner of bag to pipe.
Use melted chocolate to accent each treat with a tie or pink tail.

    These are super cute, awesome to put in cellophane bags with some ribbon and add to there baskets for Easter, one of my favorite things to make with my kids is these treats.

    Do they gets tuck to the cookie cutter? I’ve tried this before with another shape and ruined them when I was getting them out again.

    • Try greasing the inside of the cookie cutter first. It should allow the shape to slide out easier! 🙂
