I’m having a Phantom of the Opera masquerade themed screening party!

The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall is coming to Blu-ray and DVD February 7th for its 25th Anniversary. To celebrate this release I am having a small group of girls over for a screening party!

My daughter is a huge fan of the arts and when I told her we were offered a Phantom of the Opera screening didn’t hesitate with a YES! We are eager to screen this particular version as it is a live stage performance.

phantomimage003Broadway’s longest-running production of all time celebrates a triumphant quarter century on stage with The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, coming to Blu-ray – with perfect hi-def picture and perfect hi-def sound- DVD, On Demand and Digital Download on February 7, 2012 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.  On October 2, 2011, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Cameron Mackintosh marked the 25th anniversary of their beloved musical extravaganza, “The Phantom of the Opera,” with a lavishly staged production at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall that was beamed live via satellite to cinemas across the globe. The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall marks the first time a live performance of the blockbuster musical has been made available for home viewing, making it a must-have anniversary release for fans everywhere.

I’m a little behind with everything because of events with my Dad this week, but I am trying to pump up the excitement with my girlfriends.

So… help me out Smile

What would YOU serve at a masquerade viewing party?

Disclosure: Universal Home Entertainment is sponsoring my party by providing me with a copy of the Blu-ray as well as party supplies and a gift card for munchies. The opinions expressed are my own.

Have you ever made Gougeres? I like appetizers that are easy to make and that you can make ahead of time. also, that aren’t messy when you are eating them, you can eat with one hand and in one bite. You don’t have to get fancy with these by using a pastry bag. Just spoon a small dollop (teaspoon size) out onto a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam or lined with parchment. Bake them ahead of time and they can be served room temp or pop them back on a cookie sheet and reheat for a few minutes. Lots of recipes out there (can vary cheese or add herbs, etc,) but the basic recipe is great on its own too!

I definately would go with an appetizer style party. Simple things you can make ahead of time and definately some good wine. This party sounds like so much fun! I would love to do something like that.

YOu def want something easy, as it’s the company you want to enjoy, with good food. First thing comes to my head is those black and white cookies. Or how about take Choc cookies dip in white choc and then vanilla cookie dip in choc. I say order pizza and do a chocolate party! Get bunch of stuff to dip! Fruits, marshmallows, Chip chip cookies, rice crispies. Have fun!!

  4. Then more friends can talk about this particular problem
