Mobile Hotspot To The Rescue #VZWVoices #Mom

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Moms Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product

Every mom reading this post will understand that sometimes a mom just needs a few (or several) minutes to herself. Often times when that happens, I am also monetarily challenged so a good session of retail therapy is just not going to happen.

This past week I had one of those moments combined with seriously needing to catch up on some blog work. I gathered my supplies and headed to Panera hoping to take advantage of their calming background noise, a nice cold drink and the free Wi-Fi. Imagine my dismay when I finally get settled into a spot (with a plug… thank you Panera!), connect to the Wi-Fi and loaded a page… and it c r a w l s. Like, seriously barely moving.

After a few internal screaming sessions of “WHY ME!?” it dawned on me that I had my Galaxy Tablet with Verizon network in my bag. It was fully charged and ready to assist me. First, I switched on the mobile hotspot capabilities, connect my laptop and then proceeded to give Miss Galaxy a loving kiss before laying her down next to me.

I was able to surf, write, upload and blog to my hearts content at super fast speeds while the other patrons around me had the same frustrated look on their faces I had sported just a short time ago. Even if I hadn’t needed to “work”… I would not have enjoyed my surfing/mom time near as much without the aid of my Verizon mobile hotspot.

Thank you again Miss Galaxy (and Verizon)!

  1. I’ve been enjoying my Galaxy Tablet from Verizon too! The speed of the Hotspot is wonderful when you’re out and about.

Wow! Sounds like a great product that helped you with your work, even at the restaurant. I would like to own a Mobile Hotspot device so I could get some of the things done when I am on the go.

I’ve heard of mobile hot spots, but haven’t had one. It worked well for you.

I am so enamored of the Galaxy Tab, especially the hot spot capability. It would have been such a help on the road with my Kindle Fire HD. Downloaded content only takes you so far. It’s amazing how cut off you feel without Internet access.
