Hope Paige came about initially to raise awareness for breast cancer, but soon branched out to help bring awareness to other organizations. Today Hope Paige has partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Make A Wish Foundation as well as others. Other corporate customers and partners (current and past) include The Coca-Cola Corporation, The McDonald’s Corporation and The Hershey Foods Corporation.

Hope Paige developed their first medical bracelet for a teen who did not like the clunky old fashioned styles on the market. Because many people felt the same way and the availability of stylish medical ID jewelry was slim, Hope Page developed an entire line of fashionable medical emergency bracelets for men, women, boys and girls.

Thirty-one days ago I began a medical journey with my dad that he is still fighting. Witnessing his confusion and lack of ability to communicate at times I realized the importance for him to wear a medical ID piece of jewelry. Coincidentally, Hope Page emailed and asked if we would like to review an item.

I spent quite a bit of time sifting through the site trying to find a more fashionable piece of medical jewelry for my dad. There are hundreds of styles to choose from for child, teen and adults. The selection is amazing and perfect for those that are style-conscious but also have an illness that requires them to wear a medical ID (i.e. diabetics, food allergies, etc.). Nobody wants to be “branded” by their condition.

As you can see from the photo above, in the end he chose a standard dog tag medical ID. It’s stainless so he doesn’t have to worry about removing it to shower (because I know he would forget to put it back on) and the length is just right at 22 inches. They were able to engrave enough information to get the right type of help for him if he were alone, confused or they couldn’t wake him up.

I couldn’t resist sharing some of my favorite styles from the site, though. I especially like the “I am pregnant” bands with a place to write on the inside for things like contact information and due date. There are many reasons someone with a medical issue should wear one of those, but it would be a great idea even for someone like myself without a pressing medical issue. If you were to be in an accident, you could receive the appropriate medical attention that would not harm the baby.

They also carry more fashionable stainless steel and rope bracelets as well as Pandora style bracelets. Converting these into a medical ID is pure genius. I’ve seen many teens wearing the rope bracelets that could so easily be turned under and not shout “MEDICAL ID”. Why hadn’t I thought of that?

This looks like a great product. Thanks for the review.

  3. Thanks for the information. My mother is diabetic and she is in her 70’s and I think she should wear something just incase God forbid. Maybe I can convince her to wear a medical alert bracelet or necklace if I show her this web sit.
    Thanks for sharing this info.

  4. Christina says

I love finding prettier medical bracelets! My daughter has epilepsy and sometimes its a struggle to get her to wear her ID but being able to find pretty ones that she can pick out herself (and change from day to day as her mood changes) has really helped! Its the first time I’ve seen a pandora style one, I bet she’d love that though!

  5. Thank you for sharing this information. My husband doesn’t like the Dog tag version either. Maybe we can find him something he would like and for myself as well as I now need one too.

  6. I love the numerous varieties they offer to appeal to people of any age, style and gender. Great idea!
