Everything You Need for Back to School at Kohls

I received a gift card to do some back to school shopping. All opinions are my own.

As a mom to four children, back to school shopping can be an overwhelming nightmare!

For some strange reason my children tend to shoot up a few inches over the summer and nothing from the past year fits.

Clothes, shoes, undergarments & socks, backpacks and school supplies… the list often feels never ending.

Store hopping chasing deals to try to save a buck are a thing of the past for me. There just isn’t enough time (or energy) in the day. Also need to allocate time to do your homework, luckily there is an assistant DoMyHomeworkNow.com.

My sanity just can’t handle it anymore.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I adore shopping at Kohl’s. They always have a large assortment of what I’m looking for and the kids are always pleased with their goodies.

This year, I’m happy to share with you that Kohl’s has partnered with Office Max to offer office/school supplies in the store!

This offering helps me cross off one more destination on my to-do list… making me one happy Momma!

They have a decent selection of all the typical school supplies teachers ask for including pencils, crayons, paper, scissors and glue to name a few.

The display in our store was conveniently set up in the middle aisle of the children’s clothing department.

This new offering at Kohl’s is only available in store so be sure to look for it on your next visit!

Of course Kohl’s has so many other items you are going to need for back to school.

On my visit I specifically focused on my 17 year old son as has a definite opinion on what he wears and Kohl’s always has something we can agree on.

Of course I couldn’t completely skip the girls and boys section while my son shopped the men’s department, right?

Emma has been begging for a maxi dress and the sale that day was too good to pass up. Oh, and the glitter shoes? I can’t walk past a pair without buying them. Emma is all about glitter and glitz.

Being a sports person, my son’s undergarment bills can really rack up. He always asks for compression shorts/underwear. Do you realize how much those are?!  Thankfully they were on sale B1G1 50% off. Socks for his massive size 13 feet, also on sale B1G1 50% off.

This teenager has decided traditional jeans are not good. He’s also expressed a desire for dressier shorts, but he won’t wear them unless they go down to his knees. With his 6’4” frame it’s near impossible to find his inseam anywhere but Kohl’s.

In the past I’ve purchased many tops for him for school and they would remain on the hanger in his closet for the duration of the school year. He was able to find 4 long sleeved tops and 3 short sleeved tops that he was excited to wear.

If you have ever shopped for Vans, you know how much they can set you back. At Kohl’s they were on sale for a price that didn’t make my heart skip a beat.

As you can see, I also found a couple of t-shirts for Ethan as well. My little paleontologist loves this cute Carters dinosaur shirt and I couldn’t pass up the Awesome Hunk to the Rescue shirt.

With my current stockpile and the fact that I didn’t have my school supply lists yet, I didn’t pick up any school supplies (yet)… but you can see that I was able to purchase quite the haul at Kohl’s for a tad over $300 (stupid taxes).

With sales and coupons (if you aren’t a Kohl’s charge card holder yet… do it! They send you coupons in the mail throughout the year to stretch your dollars) I saved $284.86 and got back $60 in Kohl’s Cash to use at a later date!

If you have ever shopped the adult men’s section you know I got a great deal with this group of clothes and my son is actually excited to wear them back to school this year!

Kohl’s is now and forever my main stop for Back to School shopping.
