I have been in the market for a new bath mat since we had the hall bathroom tiled. When Sleep Innovations asked if I would like to review a memory foam bath mat, I was intrigued. A bath mat with memory foam? I have heard of cook mats for the kitchen… so I agreed to give it a shot.

My first impression was “I love the color!”. It was a perfect match for the décor in that bathroom. I placed the mat on the floor and before I could step on it both Emma and Ethan tackled it. They both were laying on their backs on the mat and wouldn’t get up. At first I thought they were just trying to get my goat, but then I realized (while they were busy interacting with each other) that they wouldn’t get up because it was comfortable!

I let the kids play on it in the kitchen and when they lost interest, I moved it to the bathroom. I had several shouts coming from the bathroom that day… all of them positive and somewhat shocked that they new mat had memory foam in it. The next day, I was checking my email and noticed it had gotten quiet all of the sudden and for an extended period of time. I went on a hunt to find Emma and Ethan…. you guessed it. They were in the bathroom playing on the mat.

“The Mat” instantly gives and conforms to whatever is placed on it (a foot, hand, you back Smile )… and it is luxurious to feel under your feet. I tend to spend a good deal of time in one spot in the bathroom while I get ready in the morning. I find myself shifting weight a lot less often and my feet stay warm and cozy while I am standing there. I would love to have a set for the other bathroom as well… they are that comfy!

    If you stay in sunlight during the day you will be more tired when the sun goes down because sunlight reduces melatonin levels which makes you more awake. So at night your melatonin levels will go up and you will sleep better!! I would love a memory foam mattress but they are way too expensive for me!!
