My daughter has been studying graphic design for a few years now in college. This past semester she had to take a photography class and is now the buddying photographer. She has always had an interest in it, but now with a “real” camera and exposure to working in a dark room etc. her interest has really peeked.

Kaytlin had to settle for an older camera that has personality (aka it’s just plain old) as she is paying for her own tuition and supplies while living at home with us (aka… graduating with no debt!). When she mentioned that she needed a camera strap for various reasons, I went on a mission to not only find her a camera strap that would work… but one with personality to spice up her old camera.

I found Mod Straps and instantly fell in love with many of their designs. I’m not exaggerating, I think it took me nearly an hour to finally decide on which strap to get for her. If I could afford it, I think it would be fun to purchase 3-4 of them so she could switch them out depending on her mood. When it arrived I was beyond pleased. The colors and design are so perfectly Kaytlin and the minky material that goes behind your neck… ahhhh! so soft.

I was impressed with the overall quality of the item as well. It was very sturdy (not flimsy at all) and the material wasn’t thin and didn’t feel like it would wear quickly (or at all) with use. One of my favorite features (besides design and soft lining) is the quick release on each end that is offered with the premium straps. This is a fabulous feature for when Kaytlin decides to put her camera in her smaller bag. There is little to no extra room in that bag so by using the quick release she won’t have to unthread and rethread the ends again. As you can see in the photo of me above, the strap is a good length and falls at just the perfect length at about mid navel.

Mod Straps also sent a Copper Stud Cap Saver for Kaytlin to use. One end attaches to your camera and the other to your lense cap. No more digging through pockets and your purse to find the cap because it will be within reach when you need it. Better yet… it accents the Mod Strap making it more of a fashion piece. I had never heard of this accessory for cameras, but I am so glad I found it. How cute is that?! I’m beyond excited to give these to Kaytlin this Christmas.

    It’s so hard to pick just one thing, but I thought the “strap wrap” was waaaaay cool! It’s basically a wallet that straps to your camera strap. It’ll hold credit/debit cards, cash, etc. That would be perfect for me when I’m out with the kids taking pics & I don’t want to lug my purse or wallet around. Sooo nice!
