Disney Princess Ariel’s Floating Fountain Playset

Disney Princess Ariel’s Floating Fountain Playset

My kids love to play with anything that involves water, so when Mattel asked if they would like to review Ariel’s Floating Fountain (at no charge, all opinions are 100% my own) we said yes!

One of our favorite Disney princesses, Ariel, is exploring what it is like to live on land when she floats into playtime with the new fountain playset. Kids will love spraying Ariel with water, pushing her on the swing or down her slide. Don’t be surprised if your kids want to spend hours in the water with their new friend.

Setup was very simple, I basically pulled it out of the box, popped the fountain into the hole and viola! it was ready. I was incredibly relieved because I’ve grown weary of long assembly processes. The kids were due for a bath, so away we went.

The fountain functioned well with a small amount of water underneath. As you can see, the fountain sprays out the top as well as from the yellow fishes mouths. Ariel snapped into her seat easily and the kids both fell in love with her… so much so that I was wishing for a second (insert sibling fighting sounds here). As the tub filled I noticed that the toy had begun to sink, but the kids continued to happily play as the fountain still functioned. According to Emma & Ethan that was the best part of the toy and each time it squirted into the air they both giggled and squealed. This is a fun, inexpensive water toy that invokes imagination and creativity (my kids figured out to use their feet for a table to keep it from sinking!).

  1. We bought one of these for my daughter and she loves it. It does sink, though, but she doesn’t care. The only complaint I have is that it sprays so well that in my standard tub the water shoots out of the tub and into the rest of the bathroom. I do like this toy and just have to remind my daughter to point it well away from the bathroom area. I think it will be a lot of fun in the kiddie pool this summer!
