Crocs For The Entire Family From Planet Shoes

Summer is finally here (can you hear the kids across the country screaming “yeah!” ?). Once the weather started warming up a few months back, I began my search for some sort of summer footwear for the family. The little kids needed them because their feet grow like weeds and nothing fit, the rest of us wanted new sandals either from wear or boredom (aka teenagers).

Planet Shoes became my one stop shop for the entire family this season. I was actually very surprised (and pleased) to find Crocs… that didn’t look like the original Crocs!

It was around 2007 when our oldest daughter, Kaytlin, introduced us to the Crocs craze. I remember driving all over town trying to find certain colors that she had to have. Back then I never thought that Crocs would evolve into “regular” footwear like they have!

I was happy to see the Prepair Slide II in the Crocs line up, a fabulous shoe for recovering after a sporting event or competition. My husband likes to run long distances, sometimes up to 14 miles. His feet take a beating and when he’s done he immediately wants to take his running shoes off. Having the Crocs Prepair Slide II in his truck helps reduce the fatigue and muscle strain while stimulating blood flow and allowing his feet to breath. This is the first pair of slides he has owned and he’s loving them.

Crocs™ Prepair™ II Slide Features:

  • Enhances recovery after athletic activity.
  • Designed to help reduce muscle exertion while standing and walking.
  • Croslite AG+™ material is infused with a silver additive for odor-resistance.
  • Super soft footbed pods are positioned at key pressure points for maximum relief to aid in athletic recovery.
  • Circulation nubs stimulate blood flow.
  • Flex groove system promotes natural motion and flexibility of the foot.
  • Fully molded Croslite™ material for lightweight cushioning and comfort.

Check out how the Prepair 2.0 was developed:

I picked out a pair of Patricia II Slides for myself.

These are a mini wedge that can be dressed up or down. My last pair of wedges I wore left my feet aching and I was sorry I had worn them. The Crocs Patricia II Slide is the complete opposite… I love how squishy they are! I can stand and walk in these for hours on end without pain or complaint. Best yet, they have surprised people when I told them they were Crocs.

Patricia II Features:

  • Fashion-smart mini wedge sandal with 2″ heel for a little lift.
  • A Crocs favorite with criss-cross strap design.
  • Tiny massaging nubs across footbed to stimulate blood flow.
  • Fully molded Croslite™ material women’s sandal.
  • Lightweight, non-marking Croslite™ material outsole.

Kaytlin decided to shop in the men’s section because the women’s styles were only available up to an 11.  She knew that although she could squish her foot into an 11, she’d be uncomfortable. She decided on a pair of black Yukon Flip Men for versatility. Although she was the original Croc lover in the house, she was happy to see Crocs available in a flip flop style.

She immediately loved the look and commented on how squishy they were compared to the flip flops she had been wearing. She has been wearing them for about a month now and our conversation last night revealed that she loves them so much she is considering purchasing them in another color. This is coming from the (poor) $3 flip flop girl… that means a lot!

Josh also picked the Yukon Flip Men, but in brown. He is a little worried about his choice as he typically doesn’t like “things” between his toes and tends to wear only slides. When they arrived he immediately liked how they looked. It did take a few times of wearing them to become accustomed to having fabric between his toes, but not they are his “go to” shoes for things like going to the pool and just hanging around outside with his friends.

Crocs™ Yukon Flip Features:

  • Oiled leather upper for durability.
  • Croslite™ material midsole for lightweight cushioning.
  • Massage-pod footbed feels good.

Emma and Ethan were each sent a pair of Chameleons Translucent Clogs from Crocs.

It’s like magic! The new Crocs Chameleons™ Translucent Clog changes colors in the sun. Using exclusive breakthrough patent-pending technology, these kids’ clogs transform from one color to another almost instantly when exposed to sunlight. Your kids will love watching their Crocs Chameleons™ Translucent Clog change right before their eyes!

The Chameleon Crocs are more of the traditional/original style of Crocs that my kids love to wear. These can be worn with the back strap on their heel for a snug fit, or with the strap in the forward position and worn more like a flip flop. They are super comfortable and my kids love how easy they are to put on and take off. The best part (for them)… they change colors in the sun! They never grow tired of this feature and draw our attention to it every time.

Some other great features of the Chameleon Clogs:

    • Color-changing fun in a clog kids will love.
    • Crocs’ classic kids’ clog style with a soft translucent upper.
    • Ventilation holes provide breathability and help water drain away.
    • Strap swings back for a snug fit or forward for wear as a slip-on shoe.
    • Circulation nubs on the footbed provide a massage-like feel.
    • Croslite™ material footbed for a form-to-foot fit.

We were beyond pleased with every single pair of Crocs sent!

The service, the selection (YES! They carry more than just Crocs!) and the friendly staff at Planet Shoes will keep us coming back for more.

  1. I love their shoes. They are so comfortable and you can wash them right out and put them back on. They don’t smell either like tennis shoes and other shoes. Did I mention I love them. LOL

    Hi Heather,

Just curious about an episode on Dr. Oz about Crocs. The plastic can hold fungus and bacteria, what are you going to use to clean the Crocs with?

  6. Marysa says

These all look great! I love the wedge, my friend has a pair and I’ve been wanting to get one. And then men’s sandal doesn’t even look like Crocs! I bet it would be much easier to keep clean than flip flops with a leather bed.

  7. Sabrina Radke says

WOW, they really have the entire family covered don’t they? I love the color changing!

  8. Debbie Welchert says

Oh how I want a pair of their Patricia II shoes. My feet are always sore. I’ve been looking for the right pair of shoes and these shoes look like they could do the trick. Thanks for the review.

  9. Rebecca Xavier says

I love the new design of the Crocs. The original are cute for my kids but not my style.

  10. Thanks and good blog.
