Are Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes On YOUR Back To School List?

wet ones singlesBack to School shopping always includes the typical school supplies like paper, pencils, back packs, lunch boxes and the like. One thing we have started adding to our shopping list are Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes singles… they are perfect to toss into those lunch boxes.

Emma and Ethan didn’t go to day care or preschool, so they haven’t been exposed to all the runny noses and gunk associated with groups of kids in the fall/winter.  According to a WebMD article on preventing colds, scientists estimate that 80% of infectious diseases are transmitted through hands. If I can get the kids into a clean hands routine maybe our house will be spared from cold and flu season this year.

With Emma starting kindergarten this year packing school lunches is back on my to do list every morning (she is a picky eater). After learning that her class has recess right before lunch I was even more adamant about making sure Wet Ones were in her lunch box.

The kids are allowed a quick trip to the bathroom to wash their hands before lunch, but being rushed I can’t be sure that Emma will do a good job of cleaning up. Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipes are proven to be just as effective as gel hand sanitizers in killing 99.99% of germs. Unlike hand sanitizer, Wet Ones also wipe away more dirt and messes all while not drying out their skin like alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

Young kids, especially kindergarteners, are still learning how to properly shield when coughing and sneezing. Germs are spread from droplets from these coughs and sneezes that travel through the air and reach people and surfaces nearby. Kids touch everything including these contaminated surfaces and then touch/rub their own eyes, mouth or nose before having the chance to wash their hands. With viruses and bacteria living up to 2 hours on surfaces like cafeteria tables, doorknobs and desks, a Wet Ones Hand Wipe can be a life saver!

So if you haven’t done so… adding Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes to your back to school shopping list might not be such a bad idea!

I don’t have kids yet, but these will be great for me to take to work. I work in a childs psychatrist office and we have sick kids in there all the time! These will be great for wiping down the front waiting room area.
