We have been using the affresh dishwashwer & disposal cleaner for two months now and I have to say, I’m impressed.
Our dishwasher is nearing 11 years old and has never been “cleaned” per se. The door was full of different colored stains and, although it didn’t radiate throughout the kitchen, it had a distinct scent when you opened it.
Affresh scours, penetrates and purges odors at the source. To be honest, I was waiting for the smell to return after the initial “masking” scent period ended. Most cleaners, even bleach, will cover the scent for a while. Affresh is different because it scours mineral buildup and food deposits… the source of the odors.
I used Affresh to clean the garbage disposal at the same time as the dishwasher. Our disposal is used multiples times daily and is also just as old as the dishwasher. There are a few family members that “forget” to turn the unit on once they make a food deposit, so sometimes food will just sit in there until myself or my husband turn it on. The lemon fresh scent is refreshing and uplifting… and it gives me the thumbs up that the disposal is getting a good cleaning.
I intend to purchase affresh for my dishwasher & disposal for future use. I am enjoying the benefits of an odor free kitchen… and as for those sewer flies I mentioned last month? They haven’t returned!
